This generation Mercury Cougars is the rarer. more luxurious car when compared to the Mustang and it shares many parts. It had an air of sophistication that the Mustang did not have. This car has had a lot of restoration work and looks beautiful. The California car was soda blasted to bare metal. It has all original sheet metal. floors. and torque boxes. It has approximately 189k original miles (matching engine and transmission). Motor was professionally worked on. The car has beautiful paint. The paint still shows deep reflections all around. Interior is beautiful with re-upholstered high back seats. Car has original factory AC. (Currently not working but everything is there). Factory front disc brakes. sport suspension (lowered a little). Gives this cat a nice stance. Vinyl roof is in perfect condition. I have all documentation for work performed on car. Marti Report is included. Engine/Drivetrain: (351W – 4V)). Car has 275 GHP and 300 ft-lb of Torque at rear wheels. Drives strong and turns heads. Hidden Headlights flips open by vacuum and not currently working. Rim Blow horn does not work. Could use new door seals and passenger window needs alignment. Re-install rear trunk lock. Carburetor float seems to be sticking and not working correctly. Engine runs very strong. but requires warm up time because of the Carburetor issue. Gas gauge is not working. Not much to do!
