Description of 1966 Mercury Other

1966 Mercury Monterey 2dr hardtop
390 V-8 2bbl, Auto, power steering.
32xxx original miles. All excellent original glass, including windshield. 3 of 4 headlights are factory originals. (script)
Strong smooth running engine, no smoke. Full tune-up including spark plugs, plug wires, cap, condenser, and points. Fresh rebuild on carburetor. New belts, New upper/lower hoses, new fuel pump, new fuel tank, new starter. Fresh oil and filter.
Solid trunk & floors. Only rust was bottom of quarter panels, and they have been repaired with new metal inner and outer. All seams resealed with factory quality products.
All chrome is excellent, and only thing missing is one "Monterey emblem"... Seats need recovering, however the headliner, and door panels are decent. Rear carpet good, fronts are worn. Dash pad has crack on right side, but not super noticeable. All windows roll up and down as designed. All instruments work, and the heater will keep you toasty. No air conditioning. Tires have good tread, but are old and not suitable for freeway speeds. All five wheels are original 15 x 6 wide. Original bumper jack in trunk with spare tire. Comes with original owners manual, and 1966 factory brochure. Only thing not original is the engine air-cleaner...
