Description of 1951 Mercury Convertible

1951 Merc Custom Street Rod
This is an amazing example of a timeless Merc Street Rod. These cars have been done many different ways and this is one of the cleanest examples I've ever came across. This thing looks like Michael J. Fox brought it back from to the future!! It's like a 50's show car with a few modern touches.
Body Mods:
It's chopped 3 1/2 inches. All the original stainless trim on the windows has been retained and reworked to accommodate the chop. It has 50's Buick stainless side trim custom fit to it with custom side skirts notched to match the lines on the trim. The spot lights are fully functional. Shaved door handles with electric poppers, custom lakes pipes (not functional), Frenched headlights, frenched taillights, frenched power antenna, Stainless Caddy hubcaps w whitewall tires, Custom power trunk, Desoto grille
Interior:
Custom white real leather wrapped Caddy seats with center console and cup holders, purple seat belts, all leather door panels with real wood accents, door lights and speakers,Power windows,Dakota Digital gauge cluster, all billet knobs on dash, billet leather wrapped steering wheel, Custom woodgrain centerconsole, Custom chrome convertible top hardware, Vintage Air air conditioning and heat. AM/FM CD player withblue tooth and usb to play all your music from yourphone, Push button start! spare tire in the trunk.
Driveline:
Custom built performance (I was told over 500hp nodyno sheet tho) 70's Cadillac Eldorado 500ci said to be a stroker engine (owner said bored to 514ci) builder built a custom intake to fit two four barrel carbs! Lots of aluminum accents under the hood. 700R4 adapted to fit the Caddy block. ]
This car was featured in Southern Rodder Magazine! This was a beloved family heirloom but circumstances forced the sale of it. Someone tried to put the top down without undoing the trim on the corners and ripped it on both sides. I would suggest a patch of some sortdone professionally. I also considered replacing the top. Please factor this in when bidding. It is sold as-isin the pics. Therips are the same on both sides. This is a high dollar build carpriced to move! These are priced over $100k this is a gift at this price! Please call with questions for quickest response! Thanks for your timeand Happy Bidding! 570-840-5942 Dave
