1969 MERCURY CYCLONE SPOILER II. DAN GURNEY SPECIAL. 1 of 218 cars in this configuration . MARTI Report and original Factory Build Sheet included in sale. a very nice example of a rare collector car. originally sold at SACHS & SONS Lincoln-Mercury. Downey. California and has remained in Southern California since new. This Spoiler II was built as a high performance car by Lou Whitfield of Bakersfield. California. Lou has extensive experience in building and restoring Ford and Mopar Aero cars. The original 351W and FMX auto trans were replaced with proven Ford high performance components (see below). This car has won numerous awards including best in class at the Fairlane Nationals at Reno. Also first place at the LA Shelby Club and the Cobra Club of America OC concours.
