No Reserve, last highest bid wins the car. Bought this car due to its over-all great condition and the fact that it had been is storagefrom 1974. I hadn't seen one of these for years and thought it would be cool to have. We have the car running like a smooth watch by replacing theignition parts, starter, battery, and a new carb. New Have videos of the car running. It is currently running off of an electric fuel pump and remote gas tank.Fuel lines are clean, and gas tank is empty. This engine does not smoke and idles perfectly. New tires all the way around and spare, jack, etc. arein trunk. We checked all of the brakes and while there is new shoes all of the wheel cylinders and master cylinder will have to be replaced(under $100). Unfortunately the Merc-O-Matic transmission did not take the storage too well. I have an estimate of $500 to $600 to totallyrebuild it, After changing the fluids, we drove it around the shed a few times, but it felt like it was slipping and did not have any reverse.Probably a normal rebuild, but I got to thinking maybe someone would prefer to spend the money on a small block V8 and trans, whichwill fit right in this engine bay with a change of mounts. The Comet has basically the same engine bay dimensions and motor mounts as the 65-70mustangs. This car would be an awesome gasser and unique hot rod, or just a cool car even with the six cylinder and automatic. I purchased the onlyneeded panel required (driver's side toe panel), all other 4 rust areas are easy fixes and can be seen in the pictures, nothing major.This is really a clean over-all solid car.Originally from southern Missouri (no salt). Also have a perfect replacement front driver's fender stainless trim spear.Electric fuel pump and remote tank do not go with car. Any questions call. William, 217-549-8114.
