Description of 1969 Mercury Montego Convertible

1969 Mercury Montego MX convertible. Rare Car - one of 1700 built in 1969. Engine is a 302 V8 2 Barrel Carb. Sounds awesome drives nice - pleasant to drive as it is equipped with functional power steering and power brakes. Awesome sounding exhaust! - Check out Videos
In the last year car has the following new items; Gas Tank, alternator, water pump, newer tires, new radiator, Brake power boaster and master cylinder. Floors are solid but have some patches - See Videos!
Convertible top is brand new- power top goes up and down with electric.
Car runs and drives nice - power brakes, Power steering. New Carpeting, pretty solid car - but I would consider it a Hot Rod/Rat Rod. Not a trailer queen- just a fun car to drive and drop top - hit a car show and have fun.
Vehicle is in a Hot Rod black primer sealer and has plenty of paint flaws, It appears that the wheel arches have been re-done some bondo is apparent. Please don't expect a flawless car. This is a 10 footer car - looks decent from 10 feet away.
Please see the below You Tube videos to get a great look at car running and underneath of car.
Car gets plenty of attention - but don’t expect “Best of show awards” - its a rat rod kinda car-See Videos:

Super fun car - can drive it anywhere - May need a new carb soon - choke does not always set up when cold - but once warms up you are good to go.
