Description of 1959 MG MGA MGA 1800 SPECIAL

This auction is a listing for a friend. I will include his mechanics name and telephone at the bottom for those with questions as this is a special car! This is what the owner and mechanic advised in the description:
Up for auction is a 1959 MGA that was frame off restoration. The body was acid dipped before re-install. Every nut and bolt redone during the professional restoration. This car was restored and rebuilt to be a fun driver . The owner opted to build this car into a classic Le Mans replica with the right stuff to back up the race car look. The engine is a later 1963 MGB model 1860cc that has been balanced and blue printed. The engine has a high compression gas flowed head with over sized intake valves, eshaped combustion chambers, olished intake ports, carified exhaust ports and headers. The carbs are wonderful S.U's that are actually in tune and working properly. The engine is topped off by a cast aluminum valve cover and is kept cool with a beautiful aluminum Griffin radiator and electric fan. The car is wonderful to drive! The clutch is balanced and the four speed is quick and fun to shift. The brakes are disc in the front and drum in the rear and function as they should as the car stops very well. The cockpit is adorned with a fantastic original Moto-lita steering wheel. All gauges work properly and are simply beautiful. The odometer shows 16,300 miles. The car has had the leather straps added to the hood and trunk (or bonnet and boot) in true MGA Le Mans racer fashion. The car comes with the auster windscreen and has a set of brooklands screens. It has a wonderful look when you remove the windshield and install the the Brooklands. The safety belts are vintage aircraft seat belts. In the pictures the vinyl covered wood trim is not installed above the dash but is included and in perfect condition. The car is painted French blue and the paint is in gorgeous condition. There are only a few flaws/stone chips/ scratches the most prominent being a small scratch on top of the passengers side back fender. A small can of the correct color paint is included with the sale for minor touch ups. There is a full tool kit in the black carpeted trunk along with a spare wheel with good tire. The MGA has Ansa exhaust and it really sounds spectacular. There is no way to really describe the sound of this car as it burbles and roars as you go the the gears. It is simply the art of motoring realized in one fantastic car. the car is completely functional and a joy to drive the way it is. It needs very minor touch ups here and there if you want perfection but it was built to drive may the next owner do so! Further questions please inquire to the owners Mechanic Elliott 828-458-2676. Buyer must deposit 1,000 payment to paypal acct balance due within 3 days of close of auction. Acceptable forms of payment, ash, oney order, ire transfer. Once cleared the car may be picked up or driven home. We have a nearby airport Asheville Regional in Asheville, C if you would like to fly in and drive home. Thanks and Good Luck!
