1974 MGB this is the last model before design change to include rubber bumpers. This is my only car so it was a daily driver, maintained it regularly and it was surprisingly reliable for how old it is. Fun to drive with top down in summer, tarts many conversations. Runs OK now once warm, ough when cold. Work done over the span of a year and a half: Brakes; new rotors, ads, hoes, lave cylinders, teel braided lines, aster cylinder Engine; used engine installed in May 2015, ew clutch Converted to electronic ignition, ew plugs, ires, ondenser New starter New front axle bearings U-joints replaced New top New tires New headlights New shocks all around Converted to single 12v battery, egative earth Needs: Front end bushing replacement --I have polyurethane replacements, nly needs installation Rear axle bearing replacement (not critical) --I have the complete kit, eeds installation Carburetor is all original and needs rebuild Heat and defrost not working properly Body in good shape with some surface rust nothing though the body as I can tell, t needs sanding and painting Interior is OK, eats are worn and needs re-upholstered |
