Description of 1971 MG MGB

NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART!!! At about 1,800 LBS. with chevy Vortec V-6adding headers and forced air intake making about245 HP, This car is quick. NOT outlaw quick but it will give a street Mustang a run for its money. Just like a Shelby Cobra, British car bodywith an American motor. Even Shelby went to Chevrolet first. 12 bolt shortened rear end, Great combination! T-5 5 speed manual transmission with Hurst pistol Grip and custom toggle so you don't have to reach forward to shift. Aluminum trans hump, floors and doors to lighten things up. Paint not perfect but not bad either. I bought this car from a "Trust Me Guy " on E-Bay and never saw so many zip ties to hold things together. Spent a lot of money making things right but still have a ways to go.would make a nice little drive and fix project. It really draws a crowd.Car is a Georgia car. Still has Georgia plate on it.I have not registered in California.Had a lot of work to do to get it ready for street. Didn't feel like paying Tax, Reg fees and insurance on a carthat wasn't ready for street duty yet..Georgia is a non title state. I have registration and bill of sale from former owner. I have checked and numbers on body match registration and bill of sale. DMV in California checks vin #'s if all OK issues title. Check with your state DMV regarding non title state cars. Might be different. Any shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. I will help where I can. A lot of people think this is a track car. With the numbers on the side of the car I understand why. the numbers really indicate it is a touring car. It has lights, stop lights and turn signals. it has wipers although they are not working right now. Great car for playing a little in a canyon, making a run to a car and coffee show or just cruising around, It is a street car. It has stock suspension and brakes and acts accordingly. Real Shelby's really didn't handle all that well with their short wheel base. Yes I did own one, wish I still did. With my pocket book this is about as close as I can come.
