Description of 1966 MG MGB MGB

This is my1966MGB.Has rare factoryoverdrive with wire wheels, solid chrome bumpers, steel dash with toggle switches, desirable stow away soft top and a hard top. The car is selling this week to the highest bidder and is priced well below current market value. If you know vintage British cars you know how rare this car is and the factory overdrive makes it all that much more rare. This a running project car and is priced to sell. Heritage:The carappears to be anumbers matching carandyou canorderaBritish Heritage Certificate from England or I can do it for you.The cars commission commission number isGHN3L60294 and the engine number is18GB-RU-H-14619.The "R" in the engine number is verification that its a true overdrive engine.
Mechanically:The car runsgreatbut does need some work. The car starts right up with no issues, ticks, smoke or shacking about. Holds good oil pressure at about60+ lbs. The car needs the clutch master cylinder replaced and the exhaust replacedto get her on the road. I have the following new parts that go with the car: New Lucas distributor cap, Lucas rotor button, Lucaspoints, Lucas condenser, Lucas ignition wires, spark plugs, new coil, new clutch master cylinder, new clutch slave cylinder, new clutch hose, new set of air filters and a new exhaust pipe. Note: the tires are brandNEW radials. Overdrive Transmission: Yes this car has therare and highly sought afteroverdrive transmission.
Gauges:All gauges are correct and original "Smith"and appear to be working at this time.
Interior:The interior is in average shape I'd say but you need to be the judge of that.Car sports the sought after steel dash with toggle switches. Carpet is fairly new but needs a good vacuuming out.Note: Seats are not bolted in place at this time. Exterior: The car is remarkably straight but does need some restoration. I have a complete new chrome front bumper kit ( everything including the mounting hardware and brackets), new 6 piece chrome side molding kit and a new rear taillight kit with lens, gaskets and chrome surround bezels. Again, brand new radial tires. Underbody: I really can't get under the car but from what I see she looks to be about average for a 50 year old car. It appears that the floor pans where replaced but done from the inside. Soft Top:Car comes with a folding soft top frame with a good black soft top attached to it. Car also has a folding top frame and comes with a brand NEW in the boxRED soft top. Hard Top: Yes as seen in the photos the car comes with a hard top. Top needs the lower seals replacedbut I do have them. Note: at some point someone started to do the top and never finished so the center of the top is shinier that rest of the top. Trunk: The trunk is solid and has a spare tire and wire wheel. Overseas Bidders:Yes the auction is open to overseas bidders. The auction is open to overseas bidders and if you need to ship overseas try Schumacher Cargo Logisticsshipping for fast free quotes ( http://www.schumachercargo.com/ ).
I don't claim to be an expert and my opinion ofthe car may vary from yours so please look at the photos closely and if you need more information or extra photoslet me knowprior to bidding. I know how hard it is to purchase a car online so please ask any and all questions you have prior to bidding or if you can come see and drive the car for yourself ( I really encourage you to do so ) as I want the winning bidder to be satisfied with the car when it arrives. No warranties / guarantees are expressed/ implied and is a project car. Due to the cars age she is being sold as mileage exempt and "as is". A $500 non-refundable deposit is due within 48 hours of auctions end time
