Description of 1965 MG MGB Roadster

Great Ready for FUN this Spring!! Here is what Carrol Shelby would have come up with if he had went to British Leyland Mfg. instead of AC!! A great AC CobraLook- Alikemade from a 1965 MGB with a Wide Body kit! Car is a real head turner and gets mistaken for a Cobra every time it is seen!
What's included: Mild PerformanceFord 302 V8 with C4 Automatic Transmission& B&M vertical gate shifter, beautiful new white paint with silver racing stripes, light 1 piece pinned fiberglass hood with functual scoop, Dunlop tires on period looking racing wheels . Racing seats with 5 point harness (only 3 pt. installed currently - others included), Dual loop roll bars over each seat, Gauges, Sport steering wheel, Rear mounted battery with external electrical cut off switch. Engine has a few mild performance upgrades - Torker Alm.Intake with new Eldelbrock 4 barrel carb., Headers with sidepipes, Ignition upgrade, Shift kit in transmission. Has dual oil filters, transmission cooler and additional electric radiator fan. Runs cool. Wheels & tires are in very good shape. Very drivable and potent with the engine and light weight.
Smooth wide body lines with flaired fenders and no door handles - latch on the inside of the doors. Beautiful new classic white body. Just has a couple of fiberglass cracks by the R-Front headlight - see pics, otherwise exceptional. Classic chrome bumpers. Nicely finished interior with carpet, door cards and carbon fiber style dash. Has Carrol Shelby Signature decal & Cobra Logo decal on dash for fun! All gauges work with the exception of the speedomoter -needs connectionto transmission. Car has a great lowered stance- can be set up as a nice vintage racer or just keep as a street car.
Although almost all work is complete there are a few minor items that might need attention. Although the pedal arrangement works as is I would do something a bit different with the position of the accelator pedel - move it over slightly to the right with a modified bracket. Might need a couple of gaskets due to setting around in the garage but no major leaks, just a drip or two - but I dont like any kind of leaks on my cars. The engine appears to be solid & strongbut I have no information on the miles that it has. Great Father & Son Project!
This car was nicely built and has been garage kept. I hate to part with it but I need the garage space for another project (getting into off-roading and Jeep Wranglers). This car is an easy to tinker with fun car that anyone can work on! Keep as is or convert to a vintage racer when wanted. Not many around this sharp any my modest reserve!
Please note - The car is built as an old style British Sports Car - It does not have a convertible top or frame - True Roadster, (although one could be easily added), No radio (again can be added) & No heater. Since it is open to the weather, and if you are having it shipped to your location, you would want to have it transported in an enclosed trailer.
You will be happy with this one of a kind sports car with it's little Ford V8 engine! Sound and performance of this MGB equals a blast to drive.
Car has a clear Illinois Title and it is titled as a 1965 MGB. I also have information from the original owners that I will include. Sorry but I do not have any build information that I can pass along. Please ask any and all questions you might have prior to bidding. I will answer any of them and send additional pics if needed. NOTE - This car is being sold "As Is - As Best Describe" with "No Warranty". It will be the buyers responsibility to arrange and pay for transportation after willing the car. A deposit of $750.00 is required immediately at the end of the auction into my Pay Pal account. Remaining balance by Bank Draft or Bank Wire Deposit into my bank account within 5 business days. I will work with you on timing of pickup. VERY REASONABLE RESERVE - Could not be built for what I am selling it for!!
Don't miss out on a chance to own thisunique and fun sports car!!
