Description of 1974 MG Midget Roadster

Huber Automotive Presents: 1974 MG Midget Roadster
Easily recognizable, this British roadster turns heads and produces smiles from onlookers wherever it goes. With that unmistakable MG body style, this simple little sports car (with a surprising amount of room) looks great and is a lot of fun, carving up the back roads on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Huber Automotive is glad to offer this 1974 MG Midget recently acquired from local collector (along with several other sports cars). This car is in very nice driver condition, and is ready to hit the road. It runs well, drives well, and the body and under carriage are solid and very presentable. This Midget is fitted with front and rear chrome bumpers and rubber bumper blocks, as opposed to a large rubber front bumper that is more common. These chrome bumpers, with the rostyle wheels, and appropriate Vermilion finish give this sporty roadster a classic look. The interior is in great shape and the upholstery has very little wear. The retractable top shows no signs of excessive wear, and operates as-designed. If you're looking for a classic vehicle that is ready for an evening cruise and sunny days, this Midget is an excellent option. The black leather-like interior of this car is in VERY nice condition as well, with no visible or excessive wear on any of the seats, door panels, or dash, and likewise, the retractable top is in exceptional, nearly new condition. Overall this MGB is in great condition, and is a nice, affordable roadster that can be enjoyed as it is or can be tinkered with as you go.
Condition: Please look at all of the pictures below. The car shows very well. It has, at some point, been repainted, but not over the 20-year ownership of the previous owner. The paint is presentable and looks good from a few feet back, with the blemishes and imperfections noticeable upon close inspection. There is The top is excellent, the chrome is decent, the wheels and tires show very well also.Inside, the interior is very presentable and shows very well, and there is no excessive wear or things that take away from the look. Call me for a more thorough walkaround.

Out on the road, this little roadster really runs VERY well. The motor revs freely, the gearbox feels great, and the car drives straight and is solid. I've driven it several miles and up to about 50 mph with confidence. I have not had it out on the interstate but have done some peasant afternoon around town and twisty country road driving, and the car is quite fun.

History: We bought this MG for our inventory from a local collector, along with several other cars as he was "freeing up capital" (see pics below). It was stored in his collector "barn" (not an actual barn, more like a 4 season fun garage with living space) and driven short distances, but hewouldstart and drive it on a regular basis. The odometer does not work, as well as the speedometer, therefore we're listing it as true mileage unknown.
Points worth noting: This is an old English car. It has a TON of character, and it starts and runs well, even on cold starts. Nevertheless, it can always be tinkered with. It has seatbelts but they do not operate properly, and some features may or may not work. Call and ask for specifics and please don't hesitate to ask for more details.
Check out the pictures below, be sure and allow time for them to load!If you have any questions about the condition of this Jeep, and would like for me to go over it panel by panelwith you, please give me a ring. I'd be glad to do an "over the phone"walk around for you.Contact:Erick Morrison@740-973-7978
