Description of 1974 MG MGB

Up for sale is my 1974 MGB. It's in good condition, runs and drives well, has a lot of new parts and a lot of potential. Clear title in my name. It's a late model 74 so it has the rubber bumpers and wire wheels. It is in need a of alittle body work and some tlc. Odometer reads 18xxx I'm sure it's probably 118xxx.
Pros:
Desirable overdrive transmission that works as it should
Brand new carpet as well as new seat covers
Engine was just serviced and all upper end gaskets were replaced including head gasket.
New distributor, ignition coil, plugs, plug wires
Newer slave cylinder as well as brake master cylinder
Recent replacement of all rubber brake lines
Electrical is not all cut up and spliced like a lot of these cars and all gauges work as they should
Has Weber redline carb that has been re-jetted for this car
Cannon intake
Nearly brand new tires all the way around
New battery this year
Cons:
Needs a bit of body work but looks decent so you could drive it as you work on it
Top has a few small tears that are along the sides so you do not get wet when it rains, but could easily be patched I have a kit I will include with the sale
A few dash bulbs are out but most work, I have additional bulbs to replaced them with included with saleThe wiper fluid pump and horn don't seem to work but I believe the horn is just a pressure switch issue

A box of extra parts listed below.
Large box of extra parts, some big ticket ones include:
A set of chrome bumpers, I was planning to do the conversion but lost interest
Rear luggage rack
At least two additional distributors
Extra fuel pump
Extra tail light bezels and lenses
Additional mirrors
Extra steering wheel
Original tan seat covers
A few interior door panels as well as some trim
Overall it's a great car and would be a nice little project. I've started a new hobby and am in need of my garage space back for more equipment. I would be happy to answer any questions, and will be honest about the car, just need some space and would be happy to see it go to a good home.
I encourage all serious buyers to come check the car out and take it for a drive. I will be happy to and answer any questions via email.
