Description of 1971 MG MGB base

Two MGBs..the maroon one was a running driving car until it developed a flooding condition in the weber carb. Cranks strong with good compression on all cylinders but soaks the plugs. The one in primerprimer, 1973, is mainly a parts car. Its mostly missing its interior but is complete otherwise excepts its right front fender is used as a donor on the 71 (the maroon color one)..there are lots of parts including motor out of the 73./it needs a rebuild, pistons froze in the blockThe 71 engine is good except for the carb problem..it was driven regular up until this past spring..then I garaged it. It has the overdrive transmission that works well..activated by the wiper switch.all the guages work except for the speedo. The tach works. You would need to finish hanging the psssanger side fender and windshield. There are two hoods, one fiberglass and one steel. The grill surround needs some work and it needs a grill..the old one is dinged up. Like I say two to make one lots of parts that work for either car... Or just about enough parts to make two. The one in primer needs floors but otherwise fairly solid.. The maroon, very little rust very solid. Floor and trunk solid with good tires..good mechanics cept for carb was running well before carb problem...im working on an old Packard and a corvair plus neighbor is using my garage space for his camero. so I need some room..this is no reserve ..buyer is responsible for shipping.. I live in a rural area on a road that DOES NOT... DOES NOT allow semi's or tractor trailers...,...rollbacks or regular towed trailers are okay,I'll help load but buyer pays shipping fees. 10% of selling price deposit within 48/hours at end of sale...no reserve high bidder above starting price gets both mgbs and all the parts...im in northeast Tennessee between Bristol va and Ashville nc..
