Description of 1953 MG T-Series TD/C , MK II, TD/3

I call the car the MG-TDC or MG-TD3 or MG Mark II. It has been labeled some of these most of the time. As indicaterd above my research indicates that there were appx 1. 00 of these manufactured. At the time there were no records of color as that started later on. Therefore I guess (and that may be a reach) that the color of the car now may be the original. It is a driver and runs very well. It has new tires that were put on the car a couple of years ago. The fuel pumps have been replaced with period correct ones and the carbs have been rebuilt. The gas tank was replaced about 20+ years ago because of rust in the tank. I have replaced with correct hub caps on 2 of the wheels because they jumped off of the car when driving it on 95. Other than that the car has been maintained by MG specialists or from time to time by myself (very minor things). I own the car for 35 years. It has never been out in the rain and it has been garaged before and since I purchased it. In researching the model of the car the TDC is called this because of what they called then a "competition" version. I believe the engine is the same size as the other TD's but I believe that MG enhanced it some what. It has duel fuel pumps. duel leads to the fuel tank. duel larger carbs. larger generator. 3 bow top. duel shocks on all wheels (not present on my car but for what I believe are 2 wheels). It also has bump outs on the outside of the "bonnet" (hood) on both sides to accommodate the generator (left side) and the carbs (right side). The wheels are the original vented wheels. It is a numbers matching car as evidenced by the plate. frame and engine number. I also provide links I have below for your own research.
