Undeniably appearing wearing its Chartreuse (light yellow) paint that shines bright since being repainted and the clear coated in the same color as when it left the factory. The stylish factory wheels also sport a new painted finish with new tires mounted on each. The new black interior compliments the exterior color. The upgraded Maita bucket seats provides outstanding comfort and support. They even have built in speakers in the headrest.
It has been British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certified as a numbers-matching vehicle. The certification indicates the car was built and shipped to a dealer in California. We believe it has lived its entire life on the west coast of the US. A very solid car.
When the weather demands, the convertible top folds into place or if the day is on the cool side, attach the Snug-Top hardtop. Whichever you choose, driving this gem of a British roadster is a pleasure. Both tops are in excellent condition. A full and half tonneau cover are included with the sale.
Lift the hood and you will find the same 1798 cc engine it was given at birth with an unusually clean engine bay. It has been upgraded with twin HIF SU carburetors with K & N air cleaners for improved efficiency. Adding to the efficiency, a Pertronix ignition was installed. The transmission is a 4 speed manual with the much sort after overdrive feature. The overdrive option makes touring a delight.
