Description of 1936 MG T-Series

The T series MG is THE iconic sports car. It is the car that American soldiers soldiers saw while stationed overseas during WW2 and helped bring back with them the desire to drive and race their own sports cars. The swooping fenders. low seating. tall 19 inch wire wheels and quick handling all combined to make the MGTA a highly desired car. After the war MG continued to develop the T series car with the popular MGTC. This is one of the rare surviving prewar MGTA cars. All owners of this car are known since new. I have a handful of period photos of this car being driven through Europe on vacation during the 1950s. One classic photo even shows it in front of the Leaning Tower of Pisa! This car had a ground up nut and bolt restoration a number of years back. I have some photos of the car during this time. Time has given the paint and upholstery some patina. There are minor paint chips and fading here and there but overall the car looks quite nice. Looking under the car and in the engine compartment show a rust free well maintained car. This car runs and drives well. The engine was recently tuned and the carbs rebuilt. Some spare for maintenance are included with the car. This is fun classic sports car that you can just get in and enjoy. On Apr-22-15 at 18:44:54 PDT. seller added the following information: Yes. this car has the original matching number engine. Also. the transmission is date coded correctly for the car so I believe it is the original one also.
