Description of 1953 Nash Ambassador Country Club LeMans

This is a NO RESERVE auction for a rare 1953 Nash Ambassador Country Club LeMans Airflyte 2 door coupe.

This is a very rare Nash Ambassador, it has the optional power plant; the LeMans Dual Jetfire six. The Le Mans engine, with its dual carburetors, has 8.0:1 compression and pumped out 140 horsepower at 4,000 rpm.

This car has been in storage for many years. I am not sure how long, but the tires are Firestone Gummed Dipped whitewalls! The tires still held air when found, and were not flat.

It is in non-running condition and needs restoration, but what a great starting point for a very rare car.

The car has rust issues but is surprisingly free of major rust. It has some rust through on the floor board near each door and a bit in the trunk. The body seems pretty solid, with what's left of the original paint. Has some body damage near the driver's door as shown that someone started to repair. Has a couple of rusted spots on frame near trunk driver's door.

The dash looks complete but has surface rust, but looks to be complete.

Windshield has a crack right in the middle almost straight up and down, and the passenger side window has a rock through it, the driver's is cracked.

Brakes are non-working.

The engine turns over by hand, but I took the valve cover off and the rockers are all missing along with one valve spring.

The complete dual carb set-up is present, from intake runners to air cleaner.

The wiring harness looks complete, but in unknown condition. The battery try is rusted.

It has a manual, column shifted, transmission, with OVERDRIVE!

The seats are present but the upholstery is gone on the front, but you can see the pattern on the back seat. They were removed to show the condition of the floorboards. The door-panels are bad, but you can see the pattern of the trim and finish.

No keys, trunk lock is removed inside (lock is still present).

Front bumper is bent and has some rust.

The doors and windows work okay.

The car is sold in as is condition, in need of restoration, and I am sure has more faults that I have not discovered.

I do not have a "Buy it Now" price and the auction will run till the end, I will not sell it outside of Ebay or locally so you can bid with confidence.

This is a really rare, very unique car that deserves to be rescued.

Shipping arrangements and fees are the responsibility of the winning bidder.

I don't have any idea what it will cost to ship nor what it would cost to ship overseas, it is up to the buyer to determine.

The car is located at 87544, Northern NM.

I HAVE A CLEAR NM TITLE!!
