Description of 1959 Nash Rambler

This is a 1959 Nash Rambler American with a custom made front bumper from a 1957 Cadillac.

Nash was a car company founded by former GM President Charles Nash. It was based in Kenosha, Wisconsin. In 1954 the company purchased Hudson and became the American Motors Corporation (AMC). The Nash company prided itself on their styling and innovation. The Nash was one of the first cars to utilize uni-body construction.
This car is powered by a Small Block Chevy 283 CID 8 cylinder with HEI distributor and 12 volt alternator. 12 volt electric battery is mounted in trunk. Car has an automatic TH 350 transmission. This 2 door cruiser was painted metallic blue recently for the current owner. Vacuum wipers. New wiper blades and wiper arms. Matching spare tire. Never got around to replacing the weather stripping around the doors and windows.
