Description of 1992 Nissan 240SX

This 240SX is a fresh, local 1 Owner trade-in. I am Damon Schoen and I have been the Wholesale Manager for the Hamilton Dealerships for 23 years. I have driven this car. I have given it a complete walk-around inspection. If you have questions- please email me and I will check it out and/or give you the best HONEST answer I can based on the lifetime of extensive experience I have in automotive business. I choose to list cars and motorcycles every once in awhile when I think a car is unique and solid. This 240SX is a cool old car in what I feel is remarkably good condition for year and miles. I know these cars are incredibly popular on the drift circuit…that is why I thought I would list it on Ebay. I am going to present this listing in 3 parts: RULES POSITIVES APOLOGIES RULES: We are a Maryland Dealer. Maryland has consumer protection laws called IMPLIED WARRANTIES. These laws restrict the selling of vehicles AS-IS to Maryland residents. The laws basically say that since we are dealers, we should know everything there is to know about a car, and if the buyer misses something, we, as dealers, are ultimately responsible. That is why this car WILL NOT BE SOLD TO A RESIDENT OF MARYLAND. All the other 49 states, and all other countries on the globe are eligible to buy the car AS-IS….as long as you do not reside in the State of Maryland. To this rule, there are no exceptions. Keep in mind, this is a fresh trade-in. All Hamilton represents is a solid test drive and walk-around assessment. We have not checked the car other than that. We are offering this car on a wholesale, as-is basis only. We imply nothing. POSITIVES: This is a 1 owner car- obviously loved it’s whole life. I took a picture of the odometer, and the oil change reminder sticker that’s on it. It does not appear to have missed too many oil changes. It has a West Virginia annual inspection sticker that is valid. I drove the car. It starts like it ought to and runs like it ought to. Transmission up-shifts and down-shifts smoothly and the clutch feels good, no misses, hesitations or caution lights on in the dash. The AC blows cold air and the radio (Alpine aftermarket) works like it’s supposed to. Brakes stop the car well and are relatively smooth for the year and miles on the car. The headlight motors and passive restraint tracks in the car work as designed. It has both keys, the original books and even the original delivery checklist from when it was delivered brand new in 1992. There is no rust in the door openings on either side, which is very rare. (pictured) APOLOGIES: All of these things are pictured- best I could. 1. The passenger side shock tower has some rust (I pictured both sides for comparison) 2. The power antenna motor is inop 3. The windshield has 3 good chips in it (the worst one is pictured) 4. The tires are crappy. They are noisy and getting old worn and lumpy 5. Paint on the sides is good but the top surfaces of the car and bumper covers are weathered significantly 6. Driver’s seat bolster is torn, while the rest of the interior is remarkably good. Good luck bidding and remember to email me through EBAY with questions you have thought of that I either didn’t think of or inadvertently left out!
