Description of 1983 Nissan Other Pickups

This is a rare find! This is a one owner 1983 Nissan/Datsun 720 4x4 in mostly unmolested original condition. Purchased new in Sierra Vista Arizona and never left Southern Arizona. The truck was purchased by a lineman who worked in Cochise County and drove a company truck for work so the Nissan has had very low miles. The owner claims this truck was the first Nissan to ever be sold in Cochise County but I have no idea how to verify this. It was always parked in a carport in the same home it's whole life with the only part exposed to the sun being the tailgate. It is original except for the front seats were recovered at one time. The original owner is now elderly and the truck has sat for the most part for the last decade or so with short runs to the store now and then to keep things running. It was always dealer maintained. The only thing he has replaced mechanically, other than the normal maintenance items, has been to replace the fuel pump, and I have the original one with the truck. I recently replaced all 3 belts, top radiator hose, plug wires (NGK not pictured), cap, rotor and most vacuum lines. Head was just re-torqued as a precaution. The original owner was nice enough to give me the original license plate from 1983 that has remained on the truck for the past 38 years. The paint is all original and it has never been in any accidents. There are some small dents mainly in the hood and scratches in the paint and original graphics as would be expected in a vehicle of this age. Two cracks in the dash but it has a dash cover. It is not perfect, but is in very good shape and is rust free. The interior is original down to the factory Datsun AM/FM radio and cassette player which works. The truck has AC but blows only cool and will likely need Freon at the very least. It still has the original R12 Freon and has not been converted. The truck runs and drives well. The tires are brand new and are Goodyear All-Terrain tires including the spare. I bought the truck to use as a daily driver for my work as I love the old classic 720's but after looking it over and thinking about it I realized that this truck needs to be garaged kept and made a weekend cruiser with the kind of condition this is in. The last thing I would want to do is to drive this truck into the ground as these are getting harder and harder to find, especially in this condition and with the one owner history/low miles. I wouldn't hesitate driving the truck any distance as it is very reliable and runs good. The inside of the bed is very straight and you can tell it was not used to haul anything major but there are some scuffs and paint scratches inside the bed from light use. All lights work, windows roll up/down as they should, doors lock as they should, 4x4 works as it should and the truck can seat four with the little jump seats in the rear with seat belts. As with any vintage vehicle, this truck is being sold "as is" with no warranties implied or expressed. There will be a $500 deposit due via Paypal within 24 hours of the auction end. Balance due in 7 days. The truck will not leave my possession until the balance is paid in full. Check the photos and my feedback and bid with confidence. I can't imagine any Datsun/Nissan enthusiast being disappointed with this truck. I can store the truck in the garage for a reasonable time for the buyer to arrange shipping or come pick up the truck. Ask any and all questions before bidding please. Good luck! Zero feedback bidders must contact me prior to bidding or your bids will be removed. This has become a necessary step due to bidders not following through with the transactions.
