Description of 1942 Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight

This car is one a few left remaining. In February 1942. ALL American made automakers stopped producing cars so that the labor and materials can be used for World War II. This car has been in a garage for nearly 40 years awaiting it's opportunity to be reborn. When I purchased it. it was still in the garage. Has the original drive train. motor/trans. etc. Its all there excluding the seats. Trunk needs replaced. so I already bought one new. I don't do bodywork or paint so that is left to the professionals. I bought the car this way for $2000 to keep it out of the scrap metal yards. I am selling because I have WAY too many projects. and as my wife says. I only have one butt. Most people think that since 1942 was a final year for parts. they are wrong. Since all the engineers and designers were out of work for 5+ years. that when they came back to restart the production of vehicles. there were no molds or body parts. So they made this same model and all body parts fit from 1941-1947!Therefore an abundant supply of parts are out there.
