Description of 1935 Oldsmobile Other Sayers & Scovill Conversion

1935 Oldsmobile Arcadian

Limousine

S&S Coachworks

NO RESERVE!

The new for 1935 mid-priced Oldsmobile-based Sayers Arcadian was the first vehicle to feature the stealthy chrome S&S trim. Although it used Olds sheet-metal, all GM badging was deleted. It used S&S-branded wheel-covers and included a "Sayers" badge on top of the radiator shell. Although I don't fully understand why the practice continued for as long as it did, the company's directors probably though that the marks were a simple way to distinguish S&S coaches from their competition.

Believed to have only 24,000 original miles. Original I believe this Oldsmobile started life as a hearse and was converted around 1982 to be usedas a limousine. The car was used to transport people from a South NJ area Italian restaurant to the Atlantic City NJ Casino's. It was used rarely during and was parked indoors in 1990. The car was removed from storage in 2015 and now is being offered for sale for the first time. It runs great, shifts great but will need some brake work but still stops on it's own. The car is very solid as seen in the photo's. All the doors open and shut but could use adjustments. The driverside reardoor needs a lift when closing. Overall a old restoration showing age. There's some evidence of bodywork showing where the rear hearse door was sealed. Vinyl top is in great shape. Interior is good but the rear area is pink and has an area around one window where it has water stains. Also the car has both a 6volt and 12 volt battery and starts easily. Sold with a bill of sale only! No title.
