Description of 1971 Oldsmobile Cutlass possible 442 clone

1971 Olds Cutlass S

min rust NM / Arizona desert survivor located in Tucson !
very low reserve !!!

We suggest viewing this auction on a normal PC or tablet
and NOT A PHONE to see ALL the large clear pics !!!
AND NO RESERVE !!
IF YOU HAVE UNDER 10 Feedbacks you have to email me
if you plan on bidding. If you dont, we will email you
and cancel your bid if you dont respond... period.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION: this car was an awesome GOLD color when new !
This car sat pretty much next to a house in the desert for
about 10 or so yrs. Its been slowly resurrected back to life.
Some new parts installed in the last few weeks are:
front brake lines, brake master, water & fuel pump and upper
control arm bushings.
Very well loaded car from the factory: factory PS (works)
PDB up front, in dash 8 trac, console with shifter and more..
This car runs and drives, it starts all the time and Ive driven
it around our yard for a few weeks now. Its running off a bottle
of gas under the hood, the tank hasnt been flushed or cleaned out.
Also, the neutral safety switch is out of wack, and it only starts
when the car is in the nuetral or Drive position on the shifter.
The engine sounds good and the trans feels good too.
As for the body, it looks to have all the original panels from front
to back. Very straight and rust free body. The only dents I recall where
behind both rear wheels by the lower 1/4s...and not that bad.
Super solid rockers and outter sheetmetal.
Rear bumper did get backed into a small pole in a parking lot.
The original color of the car was an awesome Gold. about 20 yrs ago
someone painted it red with the lower black stripes to resemble the
442 cars. Most of the Red paint has been burned off by the SW sun
and you can see the original gold, and some primer showing now.
The dr door and back window are missing. Because of that the dr side
carpet got wet and both dr side front and rear floor pans rusted
from the inside out. The trunk, cowl, lower rear window and rest of
the car are your typical SW desert survivor sheetmetal and very
clean.

DONT BID UNLESS YOU HAVE THE FUNDS IN HAND, apparently some people
who use ebay arent smart enough to understand the rules.
So if you have under 10 feedbacks, Ill be emailing you if you bid to
make sure you are legit, if we do please reply or we will cancel your bid.
Up for Auction: LOW FAIR RESERVE !!!
These cars are getting harder to find esp in this condition
that are still affordable to most buyers.

DRIVETRAIN: this car has its factory Rocket 350 with the turbo 350
3 spd auto and 10 bolt rear. Although very neglected looking, it runs
better then it may look. No weird noises or excessive smoke etc.
Its far from being restored, but should be usable as is making the restoration
much cheaper and easier.

INTERIOR: take a look at the pics, although it looks okay in the pics
the interior was redone about 15 yrs ago too. And its already very worn
looking from the NM and AZ heat an sun. So expect to redo the full interior
in the future. Its all there at least and the bucket seats and console are
a nice touch and help with the Muscle car theme. Surprisingly the headliner
is in very nice shape and can prob be saved.

EXTERIOR:the body and and original sheetmetal on this car are in really
nice shape for their age. Windshield is cracked bad too.
Someone painted the bumpers black when it was painted red yrs ago, but they
would rechrome nice.
YES, the rear was backed up into a small pole, it was more like a 10 mph impact
and its the worst damage we can find on the car. Still all fixable.
During restoration, you could go back 100% stock....
or RESTO MOD the heck out of it !!
The stainless on the outside of the car is in really good shape and its all there!

SUSPENSION:the suspension looks very much original and tires are pretty
old and mismatched of course. Rims too... mostly just for rollers.
Nothing weird to report here, mostly all original but functional as is
Below are pics of some 18x9 Resto mod style rims we test fit on
the car to see how well they would fit, and they look and fit great ! SO IF THERE IS
A WINNER and IF THEY WANT TO BUY the rims and maybe a good set of used 18"
tires for it, just inquire, ..we can make you a good deal on those too !!

Check out ALL the pics below ----->

it may take a full minute for them all to load ifyou have a
slow connection, so be patient AND looks for the extra scroll
bar on the right side.
Az gets maybe 12" a yr of rain and Az very dry climate.
more infoAFTER the pics etc. There are 100 large pics.

There you have it, probably The BEST represented GMs on Ebay.

Shows you all the good as well as any bad, hope you appreciate them.
We put a lot of time and effort in marketing our cars and it shows.
People wait months for a car this solid to come up for sale
and even if you have to pay shipping to your area, it still beats
paying a body shop to hopefully fix a rusty car for weeks on end.
Having as much as the original steel on a restored car these days
speaks volumes. This is a very RUST FREE TRUE AZ CAR like most we have
sold over the years, and its still better then most out there for sale
or bondo-ed up to look restored. WE ARE LOCATED IN TUCSON
Its still so clean, If the car doesnt sell, Im okay with that too
because Id love to keep it its that nice.
Also, if you buy a car thats been "restored", who knows what sort
of surprises are hidden under new paint or thick undercoating.
People are flipping cars all the time when most of the jobs are
fast, for a quick buck and quality suffers.

Email us with ANY questions before you bid please
Our Impeccable FEEDBACK speaks for itself. We show you as
much feasibly possible via pics.
Dont let auctions withlittle to no pics try to fool you.
If they cant take the time to take pics of areas under the car they
are selling, maybe its not the best car to buy long distance.
With other auctions, you really dont know what to expect
until you take the car apart. While we go over our cars ALL OVER
with great pics to help making your decision easier.
Along with ANY other questions you may have.
Email me for a quote for shipping.
