Description of 1953 Oldsmobile Eighty-Eight 88 2 Door Sedan

Let me start by saying that this car is far from perfect. It is a running project or drive it as is. If you're looking for a show car, you won't find it here.

I purchased this car last year and really can't tell you about the history of it. Someone had started to set it up as a possible gasser. I didn't want to go that route. It has a Chevy 350 (stamp says it's a 1969) that has some work. I'm not sure of internals but it does have some head work ie. roller rockers, valve springs, etc. and sounds like a decent cam. Motor runsgreat and sounds awesome! It has a fuel cell in the trunk. Trans is an automaticth350. It willneed going over. It develops a leak after sitting a while. It currently has a B&Mfloor shifter but I have a brand new Lokar nostalgia 23" shifter to go with the car. It has been converted to 12v.Steering has some slop and the brakes will need to be redone at some point. Will need driver and passenger side flat glass. I have one of them brand new. That list is mostly the worst. I still drive itas is with no issues, it passed Delaware inspection this past June. The good. The frame and chassis are in really good shape. No rust on the floors or trunk, it is a fairly solid car. The body will need some attention mostly on the quarters and passenger side door. I have the missing beltline trim, windshield trim, and missing door spear, just haven't gotten around to putting them on. I recently painted the roof metal flake purple, the dash and window garnish metal flake black, and the steering wheel kandy purple. Windshield is new. Coker radial tires are new. I have a new carpet in the boxalso. My plan was to do a mustang II and 4 link in the rear and bag it but unfortunately I need to sell for "responsibility" reasons. I will help with shipping if needed at buyers expense. Thanks!!
