Description of 1986 Oldsmobile Cutlass

1986 Olds Cutlass Supreme,The good;car is in very original condition, it was garaged for many years so it doesn't the have typical problems that most do.. No rust to speak of and an extremely clean underbody, all original paint that is presentable but does have some scratches, mainly on the front passenger fender, And also some thin spots here and there. The car has only 52k miles and it is evident by the looks of the interior that is correct, the dash has no cracks and all the glass is very nice, the doors don't sag and close easily, has power windows that work great... The bumpers are in excellent condition with no issues, inside the trunk looks brand new, and the trunk lid is also rust free.
The not so good;The transmission has lost reverse, it will creep slowly but does not fully engage, drives fine is all three gears going forward...The engine starts right up and is quiet, but idles a bit rough, no attempt has been made to tune it it up because my plan was to replace the entire drivetrain, my guess would be that with the low mile, you could give it a full tune up the engine would be fine, naturally I cannot guarantee that.The dash has no cracks but it is a bit faded on top, the headliner has been removed.There is a couple deep scratches in the passenger fender but the metal is not creased.
These cars are getting hard to find in virtually rust free condition, I don't think you could hope to find a better candidate to restore or just fix the tranny and drive it..
