Classic 1979 Hurst/Olds w-30 driver project.
This olds was originally female owned. That's one cool lady driving in a 350 V8 Hurst/Olds w-30! She even had her initialsput in the striping, so you know she loved this Olds. If she ordered this Olds, she ordered it the right way in my opinion. There's no power windows or door locks, and no sunroof or T-tops. None of the options that are known for breaking or leaking! It's a nice driver project in all it's original patina.I'm unsure of how many owners after the first, but I was told two. All of the owners obviously appreciated the Hurst, and kept it in it's original condition. This is an unmolested original carthat still has it's original interior, paint, body, drivetrain, and even the factory radio. They're only original once. It's nice to see that no one hacked up the dash or jacked up the engine compartment. The Hurst/Olds is all there, ready to cruise, and can be taken up a notch for an increased value of a very rare late 70's low production vehicle.1 of only 2499 Hurst/Olds made in 1979! How many are left?I have the original owners manuals, original Oldsmobile sample 8-track cassette, and the window sticker. Please note that the window sticker is extremely weathered, but you can make out the W-30 package option. Hurst/Olds were the only Cutlass' in '79 to have a factory 350 V8 with aTurbo 350 transmission and a 10 bolt 2.73 rear. The Olds starts up, doesn't blow smoke, shifts fine, and runs good. Recently tuned up, choke replaced, and accelerator pump all changed. Front brake calipers, pads, several brake lines, and the brake proportioning valve were all changed. The Hurst stops as it should. Horn, turn signals, marker lights, speedometer, odometer, tachometer, interior lights, radio, and even the clock all work. The only things I'd say is that the Olds probably needs the card cleaned or rebuilt. It takes a few pumps of the gas pedal to get her running and warmed up a little to be running smooth. The interior is all there and factory. The carpet is there with some wear, but no rips or holes. All the interior panels are original and in place too. As stated before, the radio is factory and functional! The body and undercarriage are pretty solid. There are pictures of each panel for you toaccess them for yourself. The onlyarea that would need attention in my opinion, is under the trunk lid. The top of the trunk lid is solid, but the underside needs work. The trunk compartment is solid. The floors and the frame are both pretty solid. Again, please look at all the photos to judge for yourself. The paint is original, but show some signs of age. There's some fading, chips, touch ups, and minor dings. Again, look at all the photos to see what you are buying.
I place over 50 photos of the cars I sell, and describe them as best I can.
