Someone asked me a question about the vehicle report which indicates what the report calls a "minor" title issue. I don't have the slightest notion what that means. The record indicates that this car has had three owners and that the original owner in Iowa applied for a duplicate title several years ago. The vehicle report also says there is no indication of any tampering or replacement of the odometer which I take means just what it says.
Maybe one of you out there has more experience with the vehicle reports on older cars to explain how these record from thirty years are incorporated into the system. For example, the vehicle report goes back only to the early 90's and this car is a 1985. Is is possible that Iowa regulations don't provide any information for that period? Could the problem be that a DMV employee just assumed that the car's odometer must have rolled over when the duplicate title was requested many years down the road? Sorry to be long-winded but no one who has ever seen this car would think it has any more than the 53,000 shown on the odometer. The thing is just almost pristine.
If you have knowledge about this stuffs works, please send me a message or question as I'd really love to understand and answer questions fully and honestly. Thanks indeed.
