Description of 1970 Oldsmobile 442 --

Real 442 verified by the vin. Body off frame restored. Very desirable, hard to find a 4-speed in a 442. Performance Unlimited $11,013 mechanical and misc Antique Cruisers Body and paint, engine rebuild, misc.over $40,000 EXTERIOR: I refer to these as the Lamborghini of muscle cars with it's exotic looks- massive hood scoops, rear wing and bold stripes. This body has really clean, dry metal. Doors fit real nice. The paint is outstanding, even along the bottom it has a... mirror reflection. The stripes are painted correctly which is not easy to do, I have seen many not done right. The ram air hood is an original- metal with fiberglass scoops. The mirrors are 1970 only, they are pointed, not round. Upfront it does have all new chrome- headlight bezels, bumper, trim and emblems. Grills are new. In back it has new bumper with cutouts for the exhaust tips. New taillight and reverse light lenses. The stainless trim all around the glass is polished. New wheel well trim and door handles. The windshield is new. The door jambs are real nice with slick paint, new sill plates and weatherstrips. This car has SS lll wheels with new trim and BFG tires. INTERIOR: The seats have been reupholstered. Door panels, armrests, carpets, headliner, headrests, seat backs, chrome seat trim, handles and cranks are all new. Original seat belts are in really nice condition. It has a rare 4 speed console. Features include the rally pack gauges and cool the Tick Tock Tachometer. It also has a tilt column with the sport steering wheel. ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The 455 was completely rebuilt and has a clean coat of the correct aqua paint. New chrome valve covers and air cleaner. All the components look new- new sending units, coil, wires, alternator, power steering hoses, battery cables, Optima battery, radiator, shroud, wiper motor etc. Rebuilt carb. New cadium plated brake booster, master and lines. The fire wall and core support is painted smooth. It is a very fresh and tidy motor compartment. TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Spotlessly clean metal with a coat of spatter paint. The jamb and bottom of lid is painted real nice. New weatherstrip and jacking decal. UNDERSIDE: The body was removed from the chassis. The floors, frame rails, braces are all clean metal with a nice coat of semi gloss black paint. The frame and suspension was blasted and painted too. Front end is completely rebuilt- new bushings, ball joints, sway bar, shocks etc. New disc brakes. In back it has the boxed control arms and sway bar. Has 12 bolt 3.55 posi. New bushings, shocks, springs etc. Upgraded to disc brakes in back with drilled rotors. The bottom of the motor and trans is spotless. New Hurst shift linkage. Has a new fat custom exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers and the correct trumpet tips going out through the rear bumper. Everything is new under this car- fuel tank and straps, lines, u-joints, e-brake cables, starter and more. This is an exceptionally clean, high quality restoration that needs just a few things to be completed. The owner went way over budget and is done. There are some stress cracks in the fiberglass hood. The hood can easily be adjusted, missing bumpers. Dash pad has cracks, console missing an insert and a radio needs to be purchased. This is minor considering how nice the rest of the car is. It runs strong, drives tight. I love that deep, lopey 442 sound! Power steering Power disc brakes Tilt deluxe wheel Ram air hood Sport mirrors Rear spoiler F-41 suspension Console Bucket seats
