This is an example of when American cars were long and sleek, and the stylists ruled the road. So look over all of this 1960 Oldsmobile Dynamic 88 Holiday Coupe, and you'll realize how rare an opportunity this V8 hardtop really is.
With only a two-year production run, this is one of the rarest full-size Oldsmobiles around. The era of extra wide cars is showcased where each of the quad headlights has room for their own individual pod, and the hood is as long as the horizon. And the sheetmetal is absolutely an amazing design. A crisp crease in the rear starts a style line that runs all the way around the car. And the trim does a fantastic job of mimicking the sleek roof line. But as amazing the Olds designers were in 1960, it's even more astonishing how well it's still presented today. The panels are quite straight and the factory-correct Garnet Red benefits from a respray later in life. There are some subtle upgrades, like the headlight eyelids and wire wheel covers, but it's all about delivering a cool cruising Olds.
