Description of 1972 Opel Other GT

********** Note: Title states Clear. This car does not have a title however that is not an option for this field. Alabama does not require a title for cars prior to 1975. 1972 Opel GT (Partially Restored) I have been in the English car restoration/repair business for over 40 years. For reference you can look up our business at website www. paulsbritishcars. org. We have brought many cars back to life for lots of happy people over the years. This story all started as a beginning restoration project for our 15 year old son. As a lot of time happens with young people. he gave out before the project was finished. After he turned 16 he traded us the Opel GT for a very minor 1993 Jaguar project which was completed in a small amount of time. Now we have an Opel GT project close to completion. another Opel GT we used for spare parts and lots of extra parts we’ve managed to accumulate. The extra Opel GT has engine and automatic transmission and is a solid body minus the differential that was used in the restoration project. The spare car also has the other style wheels with the removable center caps. We have 2 original Opel GT gas caps. We have moved all of the Opel pieces and parts from our business garage to our home garage thinking one day we would complete the project ourselves. There just never seems to be enough hours in the day to complete all the projects we want to do. We have decided to let someone else have the joy of completing the Opel GT restoration. We completed all of the mechanical work including a rebuilt manual transmission with a new clutch assembly. It has a rebuilt differential with heavy duty bushings in the torque tube. It has all new front and rear brakes. We added a Weber 2 barrel conversion with a rebuilt radiator. I welded in a new battery box in the front. The interior is complete minus the headliner. Door panels are in fair condition. The seats were recovered and a new carpet kit was installed. The car was driven around the block several times by our son prior to starting on the body work. The engine is in excellent condition. There is nothing to do to the drive train. It is all in perfect working condition. We never got around to wiring the headlights back into their sockets. All pieces are included for the headlights. Plus remember we do have the extra parts car. The outer body was stripped down to bare metal. We used a cheap primer just to cover the metal temporarily but never got around to painting the car. The car needs very little body work. It has no rust! We used a rubberized undercoating for underneath. All glass and doors are removed. Doors have window glass and working regulators in them. It has new tires. Both cars have a starting price of $5000. 00. Everything must go together. Guaranteed all parts included to make a gorgeous car with lots of spare parts to boot. We really need our garage space. If you have any questions. please do not hesitate to call Paul at (205)613-2609 or (205)699-3344. I am unavailable between 6:30 a. m. to 7:30 a. m. and 1:00 p. m. to 4:00 p. m. If you need additional pictures please ask. Remember everything must go together so this must be considered when planning shipment.
