Description of 1986 Other Makes 280I

I've had the car less than a year as I bought it off eBay fell in love with the thing from the very second it rolled off the trailer. I put the key in it not knowing what to expect and didn't touch the gas pedal simply turn the key and it started right up like my old Porsche 914 with fuel injection did
Here's some of the repairs I made to the car:

- got the AC blowing ice cold

- put custom rear exhaust tips on

-installed two brand-new leather seats with top quality leather done to factory specifications
-bought a new CD AM/FM stereo

-had the front end professionally aligned

-got both the front headlights working

-repaired the center piece
I probably spend about $3,500-$4,000 on the car and I'm in no great rush to sell other then I'm moving to New York City
I've had a lot of sports cars, his car is so superior to a Triumph TR6 which sells for twice as much as TVR, hy? I don't know...
First of all these cars don't rust, hey are fiberglass and the frame is tubular and in perfect shape.
Second the TVR has a center rear disc brake system similar to the XK8 Jaguars, ery impressive.
Third TVR's have power windows tilt and telescopic steering / A TR6 does not
that's important TVR is a very luxurious inside all real wood dash with glass gages / TR6 come only with vinyl seats and rollup windows
In addition the top is so superior to a TR6, his has removable target centerpiece
Or you can put the entire top down just like any sports car but you do have a choice.
The carpeting in my car looks like it's absolutely brand-new, ot only in the car in the cabin but also in the trunk
also I need to mention that the TVR has power adjusted mirrors whereas a Triumph TR6 are manual
Triumph TR6 has a heavy straight six motor with old fashion carburetors TVR 280I has a complete modern fuel injection system far superior to carburetors.
The TVR 280I has a compact heavy duty V6 high tuned sports car motor putting out 160 horse power
TVR has real cold blowing factory AC TR6 the ones that have AC was an aftermarket add-on
I compare the two cars for a reason because they're both British and both classics a good TR6 can cost you close to 20 grand and most likely it's had rust in the past and been repaired. TVR is complete fiberglass body and floors just like a Corvette over a tubular lotus style race car frame.

This car starts right up runs perfect, oes down the road straight doesn't shake, reaks perfect, andles perfect the front is tight as a drum and best of all it's fast, hese were actual road racing cars in the day.
It also has electric antenna whereas Triumph TR6 does not
This car has normal wear on the paint from just 5 or 6 feet away it looks like it's a showroom car, nbsp;there are a few little nicks scratches but again it's a fiberglass so there's no dents or rust

I hate to sell this thing I'll be driving it again this weekend

There's no sports car that you can buy for such a bargain today.
