Description of 1955 Nash Sedan Custom

I am selling my wonderful 1955 Nash Rambler, he last year of this make and model. If you are shopping for a classic car in this era, ou will already know that 1956 and newer Ramblers are plentiful, he 1955 is very rare. A quick story, bought the car about a year ago from an elderly gentleman. I had full intentions of bringing it to excellent condition, ut two back surgeries brought me to a halt. That is why I am selling the car. Here is what I know:
  • The body is very nice and maybe has one flaw I can see. I show it in the photos.
  • The engine runs smooth as does any straight six, bullet proof engine.
  • I bought a NOS carburetor and put it on, efore my surgeries.
  • The interior is wonderful. The headliner is very nice and the dash looks good.
  • Tires seem fair, ut could be replaced if it becomes a daily driver, p to the new owner.
  • The exhaust was redone and it runs a good old cherry bomb muffler to give it that old school rumble sound. I took a photo of the underside to see the muffler system.
  • There is no apparent rust on the body, ut it seems there are a couple of minor patches on the floor right side.
  • I drove it for awhile and then the brakes started to tighten. So, stopped driving it and bought a whole new set of wheel cylinders and a new master cylinder. My physical state has me not being able to install these, ut they come with the car for the new owner. Once installed you have a great driver.
  • The previous owner drove the car into his garage and dented the front bumper and broke the front grill. The broken grill comes with the car, f someone wants to weld it. I also shopped the nation and found another grill, ut it does not fit right. I am giving it to the new owner, s well.
  • I have all the parts and the NASH badge in the trunk.
  • The body has been repainted and the top has the original paint.
  • There is a crack, am showing in a photo, n the driver's side window. This can stay or it is an easy replacement, f you want.
  • The underside is excellent, say it needs new shocks.
  • What it needs is the new owner to lay carpeting (I am including beige carpet I bought for the car).
  • It needs to have a loose wire or the flasher unit replaced, he turn signals do not blink.
  • And, s I wrote, he brakes done, ut again, am including all the cylinders.
  • When you finish these updates, ou will have a awesome car, he one I wanted to drive, yself!
  • There are two minor paint cracks on the right side front fender. This is NOT fender damage and there is NO body putty. I showed this by putting a magnet, hen a glove, gainst the body and the magnet sticks strong. These cracks must have come from when the previous owner hit the bumper. You can buy a can of matching spray paint at a local auto paint store and fix it nicely.
This is a wonderful car, had big plans for it in my future, efore my surgeries and I would love to see it go to an enthusiast who would enjoy the car. My reserve is low for this car and it's condition. Average retail is about $8500 and I am reducing my reserve for the little work needed to make it road worthy, gain.If you are the winner of the auction, here will be a $500 deposit due immediately and the balance we will arrange to have deposited or sent within 72 hours. If not, will contact the follow up bidders. This is a very rare 1955 Nash Rambler Custom four door. You may not see another one for quite some time, hich is the reason I bought it a year ago, love the character of this car and the beautiful lines and the beautiful Pinin Farina styling. You are welcome to contact me through Ebay about the car and offers. I am not technical at all and a once a month weekend mechanic at my best. So, f you have those "car expert" questions, he answer is "I don't know".

You can see the sun visor is missing the fabric, t is in the car. The new owner needs to glue or sew it back on. The fabric is in great shape.
