Description of 1962 Studebaker Gran Turismo Hawk

I'm buying a house. so I'm dropping the selling price! Somebody is going to get a great deal!!!This beautiful Hawk is a rust-free. garaged-kept California car. It's the most sought after of all the 62s with a factory 4-speed trans. Carter 4-BBL. Power Steering. Full Instrumentation and Trunk Mounted Antenna. It is a late model production. so it also has the full-flow 289 instead of the partial flow. The previous owner installed an electric fuel pump. I added LEDs to the plastic fins on the fenders so they blink when the turn signals are on. This car was treated to a very high-dollar 2-stage paint job (base/clear) at some point in its life. and it's in excellent condition. with a couple of minor chips over the years. The chrome and stainless are excellent as well as the interior. The driver's seat has a small tear on the left bottom/back. Carpet. headliner. dash. door panels. and steering wheel are excellent. The gauges are like new - no scratches. rust or cracks. Door glass is clear and all windows roll up and down nicely. Radio does not have a speaker. so I don't know its condition. As far as performance. this car does not disappoint. It will pin you to the seat under acceleration. and the brakes will stop it on a dime. Tires are near new. and there are no leaks. smoke. rattles. pings or any other rude noises. As far as I know. things that need attention are:Tachometer: It needs the correct sending unit. I tried to get one but they were out of stock. Worse case I will get it and have it shipped to you. Clock: Accurate twice a dayGas Gauge: Slow and it sticks sometimes. Have to tap it to get it to register properlyBid with confidence - you can drive this car anywhere. If you have any questions. feel free to call me (Dave) at 702-292-1201. I will help anyway I can with shipping. A Paypal deposit of $1000 due within 48 hours of the auction end. Thanks for looking!
