Description of 1964 Ford Mustang

Up for sale is a Classic 1964 1/2 Ford Red Mustang Convertible with a 289 cu. in. V 8 engine with Automatic Transmission. It was restored 4 years ago, nd given to me as a Christmas Gift. The car starts and runs GREAT. The floors are new. The restoration is photo documented. The top is a manual top and opens, loses and locks easily. The interior is new ( when restored), ut has a few spots that need to be touched up. there are a few dings in the paint from the gravel.
The only reason that I am selling the car is because I do not drive it like it should be. The first year, drove it almost 3000 miles, Then the next 3 years I have put on less than 1,800 miles total, ue to back injury. I am the type of person that would rather see someone enjoy the Mustang than for it to see it sit in the garage, nd only brought out to run the engine for 20-30 min at different RPMs
If you have any questions, r would like more photos, lease feel free to call me at 402-651-0741 ( I do not need any help in selling this vehicle).
We will help coordinate with your shipper, uyer is responsible to inspect the vehicle.

In 1961, ee Iacocca, ice president and general manager of Ford Division, ad a vision. His vision was a car that would seat four people, ave bucket seats, floor mounted shifter, e no more than 180 inches long, eigh less than 2500 pounds, nd sell for less than $2500.00. Out of this vision, he Ford Mustang was born. After many months of meetings, iscussions and market surveys, unding was finally approved for the Mustang in September of 1962. On March 9, 964 the first Mustang rolled off of the assembly line. Only 18 months had elapsed since the Mustang had been approved for production. In order to keep production costs down, any of the Mustang's components were borrowed from the Falcon, ncluding most of the drive train. With a multitude of different interior, xterior, nd drive train options, he Mustang would be able to be ordered as plain, r as fancy, s economical, r as fast, s the buyer wanted. In general, he Mustang was designed for everyone and was advertised as "the car to be designed by you".

The Ford Mustang was heavily advertised during the latter part of it's development. On April 16, 964, the day before it's release, ord ran simultaneous commercials at 9:30pm on all three major television networks, BC, BC, nd CBS. The following day, pril 17, 964, people "attacked" the Ford showrooms. Everyone was in a frenzy to be one of the first to own the Mustang. Ford sold over 22,000 Mustangs the first day. By the end of the year, ord had sold 263,434. By the end of the Mustang's first anniversary, pril 17, 965, ord had sold 418,812 Mustangs. The Mustang had made a name for itself, nd it was here to stay!!!

Mustangs have been an Iconic classic since they were first introduced and will continue as long as we have the wheel and longer.
