Built in 1988Titled as a 1953 Chevy
Texas Classic Cars Of Dallas is proud to showcase this beautiful representation of a 1953 C1 Corvette,The first generation of Corvette was introduced late in the 1953 model year. Originally designed as a show car for the 1953 Motorama display at the New York Auto Show, t generated enough interest to induce GM to make a production version to sell to the public. First production was on June 30, 953.
This generation was often referred to as the "solid-axle" models (the independent rear suspension was not introduced until the second generation). 300 hand-built polo white Corvette convertibles were produced for the 1953 model year. To own an original in a condition as good as this one is, nbsp;would run youupwards of the $500,00, ut today you can own one that looks just as good but runs and handles way better for a fraction of the price.
This Replica was hand built by Sports Car Classics of Hollywood Florida in 1988, nd features all original body panels and an upgraded performancesuspension from a Chevy Camaro including Front Disc Brakes and Power Steering which gives it the characteristics of unmatchable modern-day handlingand reliability.
It is Equipped with a Chevy 350 V8, ushing 300hp, hat breathes though 2x4 Barrel Carburetors. Mated to this 350is a reliabl, mooth shifting, H350 3-Speed automatic transmission. On the inside we have two comfortable bucket seats, ith seat belts, nd new carpetthat as you can see in picture, till has the protective plastic over it.
Mounted to the dash are aftermarket VDO Gauges and a flush looking painted dash.Comparing the original to this replic, he original came with an inline-six cylinder 150 bhp engine and a suspension and steering that was manual, ot a very comfortable ride. Only a handful of the C1 Corvettes were built and they all came in polo white with red interior.
Take a good look at this iconic car that started it all and imagine yourself driving down a country road, on't miss outon having a great American classic.
This is an extremely well done replica.
One of the few flaws we see are some of the chrome peeling on 2 pieces around the seat backs. These are easily removed and can be rechromed.

One other little flaw under the passenger door.
We would like to thank the Dallas Love Field Frontiers of Flight for their unique location used at many of our photo shoots.Be sure to visit this historical museum if you find yourself in the Dallas, exas area. Texas Classic Cars of Dallas' showroom is located only minutes away.
The undercarriage is still in great condition.
