Description of 1951 Other Makes Commodore 6

The car for sale is a 1951 Hudson Commodore 6. This is a running and driving nearly untouched gem! It has the original interior which is great, xcept a small hole in driver seat. The sheet metal is all original except the driver skin which was replaced before we purchased. We have rebuilt the carburetor, oiled and sealed the gas tank, nstalled new fuel sending unit, ebuilt the fuel pump, lugs, ires, nd rebuilt the clutch and transmission. The exterior and interior lights all work, ires are in good shape, e never inspected brakes, nd the exhaust manifold does have a crack, ut we have the replacement that will go with the car. There is some body work that needs to be done in rocker panel areas.

The clutch is a 10'' Doctor Doug clutch and has a rebuilt pressure plate. New throw out bearings, ew pilot bearing, ew trans mount, nd 2 new drive shaft cushions. I have not been able to test drive the car since the new clutch due to weather. Also it does have a over drive transmission but because of prior clutch issues, am not sure if it works.

Just wanted to clear up a mistake i typed, he transmission did not need to be rebuilt. still original but has all new Hudsonite fluid in it. I have more pictures if any needs. Also the floor pans and truck pans are solid. The inner perimeter of the frame has no rust. This car was found by us at Ernest Hemmingway's child hood house Oak Park IL.
