| Here is a very limited stand out history machine. Not one of those cookie cutter roley poleys. Since it is Chevy equipped. any future mechanical change-outs or beef-up preferences are easier (I can see a 427 in this). My price is a steal compared to average across the board la machines. An over-all original looking "Hudson" pick up truck on the outside. but Chevrolet drivetrain/Buick tilt steering column. With a 305 V8; 2 barrel; automatic on the column; Air conditioning (unit needs a charge & produces both cool air and heat when charged; the compressor is not stuck; the blower motor for this unit does work); power steering; power brakes with front disc. Runs & drives dependably (like a truck). The new recent Dual exhaust sounds like a collector wants an old truck to sound. All new & redone underneath. with no rust (frame painted. nbsp;new parts-gas/brake lines. nbsp;etcetera done 8 years ago). Painless wiring kit used. Most lights work. New parts added recently: Complete HEI distributor; mechanical fuel pump; plug wires. tires/rims/hubcaps; seat; carburetor; gas lines; neutral lock-out switch. etc. A new temperature gauge is installed under the dash. New "doors" roll-up glass & new felt channels are installed ( they work like new ). All the other glass & rubber seals are NEW. New wood bed & metal retainer slats. Also. new Battery. starter. driver & passenger door mirrors. A new gas tank sending unit & holding straps were installed when the gas tank was removed & cleaned (a gas gauge would be needed or the old 6 volt in dash gauge may work with some kind of resister install? That is for the next owner to do. Tank had been sealed inside; just had to clean out the old sending unit rust. Gas stabilizer & moisture inhibitor has been added to the new gas. Two new transparent gs filters are in line. one before the fuel pump & one to the carburetor. Picture #23 shows the underside & frame with new cab floor metal. All the under parts are new like this throughout. Fender wells have no rust or dirt & all new bolts. More unerside pictures available. Needs: A small ding at front bumper flare/splash guard on the passenger corner (the only ding on truck). Dash gauges/lights/dome light need hook up with painless wiring kit ready under dash leading from the fuse block. Need rear shocks installed (buyer's job). Needs Wiper arms & blades(new owner's job to complete; wiper motor works). I may install new spark plugs (not promised). Glove box button retainer missing (door doesn't stay closed when moving). Parts I have with truck: front bumper & guards(need rechrome; pictures available); original seat (new owner may not want. but springs/frame/woods/hardware there); inside original rear view mirror mounting bracket. cab cardboard patterns/metal frames. nbsp;& some small miscellaneous parts. And. I have the original headliner "stretch" bows/wands assembly (think there are 5 or 6 rods/wands) for your new headliner snugging/install (this will be the new buyer's/owner's job; headliner material is not furnished). As is sale: THIS MEANS* any items I mentioned that will be the next owners deeds-to be finished by NEW owner. will NOT be finished by me BEFORE new owner takes it home. Many American relics are already there (foreign buyers started investing 60+ years ago). I have a Florida title in my name. VIN plate is in place on passenger door column. No accidents. Truck has no rust; all new looking inside fender wells/bolts/splash areas. Again. custom restored 8-10 years ago with minimal usage since. I have many more pictures ( can furnish title/VIN plate pics also ). Hood & doors close flush. o rattle & no fly open. Vent windows work. On Jan-19-15 at 07:19:40 PST. seller added the following information:Meet the reserve & it is your machine. One "upping" each other on bids only serves a "need". It is no closer to ownership than the pictures you see. Rather than bid. print out the picture(s). Cut-to-the-chase bidding (what most likely is the reserve) takes it home. But. if my listing serves some purpose other than someone owning this post World War II peacetime tool. it is worth my expenditure. Hopefully someone pulls up historical info & learns what Nazi-ism or Imperial Japan winning would have made our Protests & "its my right" movements most likely a death penalty. |
