Description of 1936 Other Makes REO Flying Cloud

Thank you for taking a look at our 1936 REO Flying Cloud 2 door. Unfortunately, it doesn't run, but the body is complete and the car rolls fairly easily. A restoration of this car his very possible but it's also a great start to a rat rod or hot rod project if you don't want to make it original again. As you can see, there is some rust in the lower doors andelsewhere in the car. We believe all or allmost all of the trim and chrome pieces are present. We do know there are two hubcaps missing but we don't have a full list of parts. We've included photos of parts that we do have.
As we understand it, REO Motor Company was started by Ransom E. Olds after leaving Olds Motor Company (also known as Oldsmobile). Ransom started his first company, Olds Motor Vehicle Company in the late 1890s and their curved dash Olds became the first mass produced motor vehicle selling over 4000 cars in 1904. It wasn't until Ford developed the moving assembly line that mass production was as we know it today. This car, a 1936, was among the last passenger cars to be built by REO. The company was able to keep its doors open during WWII by producing trucks for the military but never returned to making passenger cars after the war. If we've gotten any of the history incorrect, let us know! We'd like to tell the story right if we haven't already.
If you're looking for a unique 2 door pre-war to restore or hot rod, this is certainly rare enough that you probably won't see another one at shows and events. Please take a look at the photos to see the condition/state and contact us with any questions regarding the car.
