Description of 1971 Other Makes Interceptor Hardtop

Very Rare 1971 Interceptor III. This car is a true Interceptor III with a 383 and only 56,600 verifiable miles. I am technically the third owner but really the second as I purchased this car from my father 25 years ago, he purchased it from the original owner in 1979, an architect in Scottsdale AZ who purchased the car NEW from International Motorcars LTD. in Phoenix AZ. When I took ownership of the car it had been sitting outside in the AZ sun for a few years and had developed dry rot on the leather and rubber. I stripped it down to bare metal and sent it to the paint shop. Had all new Connolly leather interior installed, had the gages rebuilt, the dash re vacuum formed, all the chrome stripped and re-dipped, All glass was removed and all rubber seals replaced and any broken or worn part replaced, (window motors, turn signal switch, wiper switch tail light lenses, rocker switches etc.) Even the burl wood center console was redone. Thanks to living in AZ at the time and Jim at Delta Motorsports I was able to get all the parts I needed. As you can see from the photos it is in Beautiful condition. I moved to GA about 10 years ago and brought the car with me (enclosed trailer transport) and have had it in the garage. I pulled it out this month and started to put the last few pieces back on the car. I have a new mirror as pictured and center caps for the wheels, I also have the rear badge that the paint shop did not re-attach. It has the original tool set and jack set along with the fire extinguisher, I even have the original Lear Jet 8 track player (on a shelf). It is bitter sweet to sell it. It is looking for a nice home and someone who can appreciate what this car can offer. I have full factory documentation that it is truly an Interceptor III, 1971 with a 383. This is NOT an interceptor II. A find like this does not come along often. Don't miss your chance to own a true rare Interceptor. Life changes, must sell, no reasonable offer refused.
