| Thanks for checking out our cool 1972 Reliant Regal 330 Saloon. Rare in the UK and very few in the US. We have heard that there are less than 50 on the continent. Most people have never seen one and we've only ever put our hands on two here in the States. Courtesy wikipedia. org Reliant was a British car manufacturer. The company was traditionally based at Tamworth in Staffordshire. England. but in 2001 it moved to nearby Cannock. The old site of Reliant Motors. in Tamworth. was turned into a housing estate named Scimitar Park. after the Reliant Scimitar that they produced. also a number of street names used Reliant model names. The company produced over half a million vehicles over a 65 year history starting in 1935 and selling cars in 7 countries including the Netherlands. India. the UK and the middle east been popular sellers of fibreglass cars. They were the second largest car company in the UK holding that position from the 1960s right up until the 1990s. Reliant Motor Company was producing 50 vehicles a week up to 2001 when it finished production. Often maligned and made fun of on the BBC. this bit of British history is now ready to be enjoyed right here in the USA. Perfect for your UK related business in the USA. It's cute. unmistakably British and RIGHT HAND DRIVEAlways draws a huge crowd and when you add the big blue eyes. everyone recognizes the Regal as "Tomber" from Disney's Cars 2. The paint has been carefully color sanded and polished out over the last month. As with all fiberglass cars. the paint and the glass shrink and expand a bit over time as layers dry and chemicals evaporate. This curing process and subsequent cut and polish have revealed a gorgeous blue that we believe was the original color for the car.
