Up For Sale is a Rare "Steel Body" 1948 ANGLIA "English" Ford
This multiple Award Winner (Del Mar Nationals 2014 & 2016 Gasser Wars CHRR Winner)
This Hot Rod includes: Steel body, both doors, front fenders, hood, rear deck lid and two (2) hole grill are "All Steel" (rear fenders are fiberglass) to accommodate the 375/60-15 rear Pro-Trac tires
The "Black" Body/Paint: Fab and Design work by Joe Perkins of "American Tradition" Mesa Az.
The Chassis was built by Ken Barrera in Southern California (Buena Park). I purchased the car as a project that was 75% complete in late 2010. The photo (car in primer) is when we bought the car. The car was bought and restored in about one year, completed in early 2012.
Chassis: Tube (boxed) chassis withsix point roll cage (not NHRA certified)
Front axle: Straight axle w/ racing spindles, front disc brakes (GM), QA1 coil over adjustable shocks
Rear end: 1955 Olds, Pontiac (GM), narrowed 36 spline axles, 4:11 Richmond gears & QA1 shocks
Trans: 700r "Hughes" overdrive w/ external tranny cooler installed by Speed Sports of Gilbert Az.
Engine: 350 SBC, 202 steel heads, built by Brian Duffy & Mark Clark @ Speed Sports (AMBR engine builders)
Manifold: 1969 Z-28 Camaro (polished & hard to find) intake
Headers: Doug Thorley (Jet Hot coating)
Cooling: Ron Davis Radiator & electric fan cooling system
Wheels: Weld Drag-lite front and rear
(Wheelie bars & Parachute included)
Interior: Rolls Royce leather seat(s), door, side and tub panels, suede headliner, Mercedes carpet
Top: Soft-top BMW cloth insert Upholstery by Unique Upholstery in Scottsdale
Window: Power windows w/ gear regulators by So-Cal (gear driven not cable)
Trim & Soft Parts: Anglia Obsolete in San Diego Cal.
