This 1903 Oldsmobile is offered by the Vault Classic Cars dealership. It has been the subject of a thorough and high quality restoration. as we'll see by reviewing these photos. Jeff Beaumont of Atascadero. a well known Olds Curved Dash specialist. restored this car to the highest standard. The car itself was in the possession of another Olds Curved Dash Enthusiast. Barney Rademacher. of Los Angeles. Barney is listed as the owner in the Curved Dash Olds club list of known serial numbers in the club newsletter from November 26. 1982. and we think he owned the car for decades before that. . The Oldsmobile Curved Dash was a revolutionary car when it was introduced - light. easy to drive. and reliable. . The VMCC is featuring the American made car for the 2015 London-Brighton run in November. There's still time to enter! And here's a video showing the start and run procedure! . Loaded with options! Tiller mounted horn. dual oil lamps. and the Bermuda Bell . . Done in the correct black and maroon paint scheme. Note the brakes for 1903 were mounted inboard on the rear axle. . Here we see the gorgeous pinstripe detail on the suspension. as well as the Bermuda bell . . The quality of the restoration is impressive. . Optional Lamps. correctly finished in Nickel. . And the Horn. . Correct floorboard and rubber mat. . The detail is spectacular . Beautifully finished. . Fresh leather in the diamond tufted pattern . Spectacular! . Chain drive. central braking. . With the seat cushion removed. we see the ignition switch. the gear lever. and the spark advance / retard lever. . The Transmission. The gas and water tanks have been redone. and look sharp and correct. . The Winfield carburetor is an upgrade - it didn't leave the factory with a Winfield. but it runs a lot better with it in place! . This serial number corresponds to early 1903 production.
