Description of 1982 Other Makes

Look at this car! This is a 1982 Oldsmobile Omega with only 160 original miles with the new car window sticker still on the window! Yes. this is not a misprint. The original 80 year old lady bought the car new in the spring of 1982. The car was brought home and parked. She did not like to drive at all. The car was simply a comfort to her. knowing that it was there if she ever needed a car. The car was started up once in a while and run around the block just to keep it going. The car was also taken to the local inspection station once a year for it's inspection. This cute little Omega was ordered fully loaded with options including power windows and locks. tilt wheel. pulse wipers. AM/FM Stereo. Air. tinted windows. chrome dress up package. light package. molding package. rear defogger. dual sport mirrors. carpeted GM floor mats ect. so the car is fully loaded. The original base price was just over $7000 and this car listed for $10. 00 which was alot of money for an Omega. She could have bought a new Cutlass Supreme for the same price! Every single item on this car is original except for the gas and the battery. The original oil and all the other fluids are from the factory and still look like brand new. Even all the white wall tires are original. The car still smells new and so does the trunk which has both original spare tires. the small space saver and the optional full size spare with the blue still on the white wall. The car starts right up and runs as new. The original light blue paint is getting dull and flaking off on the top areas of the car from age. GM cars of this era had paint issues from day one. The original headliner is starting to come down but this can be corrected by an upholstery shop. you do not have to replace it. The rest of the dark gray interior is as new. The rubber bumper fillers are cracked and coming apart from age. again. another common GM issue of this era. The rest of the car speaks for itself. Oldsmobiles are no longer being made and when was the last time anyone saw an Omega on the road? How about a fully loaded Omega? How about a fully loaded Omega with only 160 miles on it? I am quite sure this is by far the lowest mile Oldsmobile Omega in the world. The GM X body cars. as they were called. nbsp;were well known in their day for issues they had and most are long gone. The few X cars that exist have become somewhat of an item in the collector car field today and a car like this has nowhere to go but up in value over time. Again. nbsp;how often does a new one come up for sale? I think this is the first. I have had this car for about five years now. I put 4 miles on it in 5 years so it just sits. Putting miles on it is out of the question for me so after thinking it over. it's up for sale. NOTE. It takes "time and money" to run an auction so "serious bidders only" please. If you are new to Ebay. or. if you have little or no positive feedback. please send me an email before you bid. If you bid and win. you bought the car period. Please ask any and all questions "before you place your bid. " The reserve is more than fair for a car like this. I want to see it go to a good home. My feedback has always been 100% positive since I joined Ebay over 12 years ago which says alot. If you would like to see the car in person before you bid. just ask. Thank you for your interest in this special little car. On Feb-12-15 at 10:20:42 PST. seller added the following information: I want to make this clear. This car only has 160 miles. Not 10. 00 miles. not 110. 00 miles. The car has 160 miles! The reserve is well below the original sticker price. Thank you for the emails and for the interest.
