This is a NO RESERVE AUCTION -Up for bid is my partially restored & reliable 1955 Chevrolet 2 door Sedan with custom FLAMES

Motor was professionally rebuilt August 25, 2013 by Titan Engine in Ocala, Florida.
350 4 Bolt Mains Bored .30 Over
New Pistons & Rings
Double Roller Timing Chain
3 Angle Valve Job
New Valve Springs, Lifters, Chrome Molley Push Rods, Roller Rocker Arms, high volume Oil Pump, high performance gravity, rotary electric Fuel Pump, combined with a AC Delco #40725 mechanical Fuel Pump, Brass Freeze Out Plugs, Weiland Performance Water Pump, Mallory High performance Distributor, with a new Accel Cap and Accel Wires, Accel Spark Plugs #576S. New Flywheel, New Dayco Fan Belts, Has a EXTREME ENERGY 262 HYDRAULIC COMP CAM 12-238-2 XE262H-10, Air Gap intake manifold
On the car is a pair of original 1960’s era, Mickey Thompson ribbed Aluminum Valve Covers
BRAKES
Installed / upgraded to POWER BOOSTER & DUAL MASTER CYLINDER DISC BRAKES with NEW BRAKE HOSES, BRAKE LINES, and PROPORTIONING VALVE
NEW REAR DRUMS and New BRAKE HARDWARE
EMERGENCY BRAKE IS CONNECTED & WORKS
I installed a working Emergency Brake light to warn of fluid loss. Brakes have approx 3.500 miles or so on them
IGNITION SYSTEM
High performance mallory Distributor & Accel Ignition Coil
8mm Accel Ing Wires, Accel Spark Plugs
FUEL SYSTEM
Edelbrock Carb, Electric Fuel Pump, Mechanical Fuel Pump
Huge canister gas filter installed between gas tank and electric fuel pump. Another chrome gas filter is in the engine compartment. All Fuel lines were replaced. I got the car with a 21 Gallon Fuel Injected Gas Tank already installed by the previous owner (I guess he was gonna upgrade to fuel injection). The gas gauge is Not connected
I only use the electric fuel pump if the car has been sitting for a week or so, and thats only to prime the system, otherwise its very hard on the starter waiting for fuel to reach the carb. As soon as the engine starts, I turn off the electric pump and let the mechanical do its job.
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Power Master 150 amp high Output Chrome ALTERNATOR, Entire car has been rewired and is sorted out. There are no electrical gremlins or issues
Tail lights and Parking Lights converted to LED -turn signals don’t work. Several Power relays have been installed to take the load off the electrical system. New Ignition Switch and Keys - I didnt use the original switch and key since with that set up you can start the car without a key. That made me nervous. So I installed a early 1960’s era General Motors Key and Switch. Works great! I converted the ELECTRIC CLOCK to QUARTZ, so you have to change the battery every few months. Has a cassette AM-FM RADIO with CHEVY BOWTIE LOGO which works fine. Converted original outdated and unsafe VACUM WINDSHIELD WIPER SYSTEM to a RAINGEAR ELECTRIC VERSION / SYSTEM. It included all the hardware and a new wiper switch as well. They never worked better - that was a great upgrade. New HEADLIGHT SWITCH with new headlight relays installed, New HEADLIGHTS, New PARKING LAMP ORANGE CHEVY EMBLEM LENSES and LED BULBS. New rear BLUE DOT tail light REAR LENSES with BLUE DOTS with LED bulbs. Added an additional factory GM UNDER HOOD LIGHT. CUSTOM HANDMADE (by me) electric SWITCH PANEL BOX which controls the ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP, ELECTRIC FAN, STARTER SOLENOID, and AUX GAUGES.HIGH TORQUE 12V 1.4KW MINI STARTER, ALL CHROME BATTERY BOX
OPTIMA RED TOP BATTERY
TRANSMISSION
TURBO 350 AUTOMATIC -REBUILT with HEAVY DUTY CLUTCHES and DRUMS. Has a STALL TORQUE CONVERTOR, It does not have a Shift Kit so it doesn’t Bang when the gears change. New LOCKAR KICK DOWN Downshift Cable, Vintage B&M RACING SHIFTER, New CABLE for Shifter, New TRANSMISSION CROSSMEMBE, New POLYURETHANE TRANNY MOUNT, Installed special CHASSIS SIDE MOUNTS to help support the extra horsepower and keep the engine/tranny centered. New UNIVERSAL JOINTS, New Adjustable B&M VACUM MODULATOR, New TEMPERATURE GAUGE to monitor the tranny temperature. HAYDEN HIGH PERFORMANCE TRANNY COOLER. Tranny Pan has a tiny leak (it left a stain the size of a dime) - mostly a drop or two. I went to tighten the pan bolts and I pinched the gaske, so now it leaks about the size of a quarter to half dollar and this is after sitting for a week. You will not notice any stains if you use it everyday. No puddles, just a very small minor drip. I am INCLUDING A BRAND NEW FELPRO TRANNY PAN GASKET. The leak is so minor, that I never bothered to fix it.
COOLING SYSTEM
1970 CHEVELLE ALUMINUM BeCOOL RADIATOR with the Special BECOOL COOLANT installed. Frame rails were notched so that this huge radiator would fit. SUPER STANT 160 DEGREE HIGH FLOW THERMOSTAT is installed. HIGH OUTPUT HIGH FLOW WELAND WATER PUMP. HIGH OUTPUT, HIGH SPEED, FLEX O LIGHT BLACK MAGIC EXTREME 3300 CFM ELECTRIC FAN with FAM SHROUD. New RADIATOR HOSES. There is no heater core installed. The fan does not come on automatically, it has to be manually turned on. I just leave it on for most of the time when driving in city traffic. On cooler days when turnpike highway driving there is usually so much air going thru the radiator, I just shut the fan off until I exit the Hwy.
SUSPENSION
New Front COIL SPRINGS -- which made the front of the car way too high, so a coil was cut/removed (old school style) from each side. The car sits just right now and handles great. New UPPER & LOWER CONTROL ARM BUSHINGS, HIGH PERFORMANCE ADJUSTABLE FRONT SHOCKS, New Roller Bearing IDLER ARM. MONROE MA728 AIR SHOCKS in rear as well as a NEW Rear SHOCK SUPPORT BRACE BRACKET. NEW BALL JOINTS and Complete TIE ROD ASSEMBLIES on both sides. I only used MOOG PARTS which are made in the USA. Still has the original MANUAL STEERING BOX. - No power steering here - I love the feel of the road. Front end is nice and tight and does not vibrate or shimmy or pull at speed. The Air Shocks have a slight leak. Last time that happened it was a loose connection/fitting.
REAR END
Stock Rear - may be Original
Has 4:11 gears
Non Posi
EXHAUST
HEADERS, STAINLESS STEEL DUAL EXHAUST
Has a slight exhaust leak. I think one of the header bolts has loosened again. This has happened before and probably just needs to be tightened.
GLASS
New FRONT TINTED WINDSHIELD & new gaskets
New DOOR GLASS - vent window glass is original
BODY
Since I have owned the car, from day one, its been garaged. Paint is at least 20 years old- so you might feel its ready for a paint job. I never did. I like it just the way it is. But of course everyones tastes are different. FLAMES were done by a professional car restorer/painter named MIKE ADAMS - that was in 2001 (that cost me $2,500). The patina of this car is what gives it is special appeal. It is Not a show car by any means. It looks good from 10-20 feet away - when you get up close, you will see some body panel gaps, scratches, dings, imperfections in paint etc...... THIS IS WHAT I LIKE MOST ABOUT THIS CAR. I can park this anywhere (unlike my other show cars with great paint), and not have to worry if I get another scratch. Finally I can take this car to go out to dinner and not have to get up during my meal to check on the car. For m, thats what makes this car so cool. I can park it anywhere and not have to worry.
Both DOORS open and close smoothly. They do not have to be slammed shut. When I bought this car 9 years ago, the roof came with a touched up area. I have left that alone and just waxed it. The car was parked outside at some time during its life and accumulated its share of rust. I have personally scrapped and removed all the dirt and as much rust as possible underneath the car and coated the raw metal with several cans of POR-15. The underside still looks like I just applied it and is very clean. It has held up very well. The inside of the car and the trunk has been insulated with sound deadening material similar to DYNAMAT. When I bought the car the floors and trunk had already been repaired and reinforced with thick steel. The car is much stronger then before. I have done nothing to the paint except to add flames and wax it.Has New HOOD HINGES and new CHROME HOOD SUPPORT BRACE
INTERIOR
Seats are from a 1964 Chevy SS. The interior is in great condition. New RED CARPETING, New RED SEAT BELTS, Custom made dome light using an old car glass lense. LOTS OF GAUGES, No headliner - just lots of vintage STICKERS. I have gotten more compliments on that modification then any other. The kids love it at car shows. The custom ARTWORK on the doors and trunk can easily be removed. They are attached with 3M tape. Dashboard graphics can also be removed easily if so desired. I put on all the stickers in the car including the racing ones in the back windows. This was just one more thing to complete the look of a vintage street racer.
TIRES - LIKE NEW 90% tread or better
EXTRAS
Books, Artwork, Trophies, BUILD BOOK with before photos and receipts, CAR COVER and much more are included
This car has a lot of personality and curb appeal. It always attracts attention. I have personally met WAYNE CARINI of CHASING CLASSIC CARS & DENNIS GAGE of MY CLASSIC CAR. Both of them said some very nice things about my car.
The person buying this car is buying more then a car......It’s a lifestyle. Be prepared for strangers to come up and want to talk about the car at any moment. I have even been followed and pulled over to talk about the car. I have had more fun with this car and traveled farther then any other classic car I have owned. It has never let me down. The car runs great but does rev high on the highway due to the high rear end gears and uses some oil. I love when I read a car description and they limit it to a few sentences and leave you hanging. I have decided to write an ad for my car as if I were buying it. Thats why this description is so long. If my wife wasn’t sick, I would not be selling this car. I haven’t used it much since she became ill, and its time for someone else to enjoy this car. It is INSURED with a major ANTIQUE CAR INSURER for $33,000 - thats right - $33,000. My starting price is less then half that because I want to sell the car and I am willing to take a loss. I don’t have to tell you how much $$ I spent - you’ve heard it all before…..the parts list alone speaks to the money invested in this car which I love dearly and never expected to sell. This car has a CLEAN ready to transfer FLORIDA TITLE and is sold AS - IS. No warranty or guarantee is implied or offered. $500 non-refundable deposit required via PAYPAL at auctions end. The remaining money may be paid in Cash, or controlled Bank Wire Transfer. Buyer is responsible for pickup and shipping within two weeks. I encourage & welcome you to come and look the car over or send someone to look at it for you. The car will speak for itself so call me to arrange a time to see it or ask questions at FIVE SIX ONE - SEVEN FIVE SIX FOUR EIGHT FOUR SEVEN. Please no calls past 7PM, but you can call or text me as early as 6AM. The car is also available for sale locally and its possible the auction could be ended early. Thanks for looking……..
