Description of 1940 Packard

This is a very nice looking and driving wide fender Packard. Many of these early 40's late 30's cars were scrapped for metal during WWII and did not survive. I have enjoyed driving my Packard down Indiana country roads and getting the thumbs up from everyone I encounter. Packard was like the American Rolls Royce. The beautiful grill. along with The Goddess of Speed Hood ornament scream Art Deco. This 1940 Coup drives and shifts nicely. Chrome Bumpers are good as well as all glass. Paint is not perfect but still shows rich black and shines. It has touch ups and a couple of very small dings that you would expect from a 75 year old car but overall very nice. The chrome trim has been modified to make it shine nicely. but should probably be replaced or re-chromed to make it a show car. Also included is an original owners/service manual. a binder showing past parts and repairs and several extra parts. Also included is a car cover. The engine starts and runs strong. It is an original flathead 6 that is correct for this car. but is not the original motor. The only part I have had to buy for this car is a fuse for the brake lights. Happy Bidding
