Description of 1932 Packard 153 DELUXE ROADSTER Deluxe Convertible Roadster

1932FRANKLIN 153 DELUXE ROADSTER

This is your one of a kind opportunity to own this immaculate and very rare 1932 Franklin 153 Deluxe Roadster, ustomized by Frank Beck of Illinois. Produced in 1931 series 153, irst registered in 1932. Since then till now one family car. Runs and drives, ll original parts, othing has been changed, hich doesn't happen often when car is 83 years old. This model was a barn find, tored for the past 25 years, t's in amazingly good condition. True opportunity for connoisseurs who can appreciate this pre war beauty! This used to be elite car, t the time it cost $4000, here popular Ford roadster cost $500.
The H.H. Franklin Manufacturing Company of Syracuse, Y built America's most successful air-cooled automobile, ith its first innovative air-cooled motorcar in 1902 and continued production until 1934. Of the 150,000 Franklins built between 1902 and 1934, t's estimated that about 3,700 have survived.
When we got the car it didn't run, t took us about 4 hours to get it started after such a long time in storage. Now it starts without a problem right away, very time. It's distinctive elliptical suspension specially designed for roads back in 1932 makes it a pleasure to drive, ou will not feel any bumps. All tires were old, e have replaced 4 tires with new ones, here are 2 more spare wheels which need 2 more tires. Paint was in very bad shape, t was yellow and peeling off, e have stripped it completely and painted it matt black so steel body won't rust. All body needs to be sanded, vened out and painted. If you can put the time and effort to restore this beauty to it's original glory it can easily be worth $100k.
Feel free to contact us for more info, his car won't last long!
