Description of 1968 Plymouth Road Runner

You are looking at the first year of the Roadrunner. This is an unrestored 1968 Roadrunner with 383HP engine and 4 speed transmission. I am the owner/operator of a restoration business and can tell you from experience that this is a VERY good car to restore! Not only is it a VERY, ERY hard car to find but the things that matter most are in good condition on this car. It has rust in many of the typical places that all these year Mopar's have (around back window, runk pan, ront floor pans, ood lip) but the key areas that are most important are great.

As you can see from the 140 pictures in the photobucket link, he car has had a couple things changed on it since factory. The two that stand out are the change from bench seat to buckets and from automatic to 4 speed transmission. There are so many untouched, riginal pieces to this puzzle that it's a restorers dream car. This car has been parked in dry storage since 1994. Having been off the road for the last 11years that I believe the mileage on the odometer to be actual, ut that is just my opinion. This is a three owner car (me being 3rd owner with clear/open Tennessee title in my name). I have even researched the original owner and discovered interesting history on the car. He was a restaurant owner and had to sell his Roadrunner (this one) because he had a kitchen fire and needed the money from the Roadrunner to make the repairs to his restaurant. There are a few news paper articles online about the event.

As you can see from the very descriptive pictures in the photo link, he important things like frame rails, -member, ockers, oof, nderside of doors, tc, re all in GREAT condition. Even the stainless and aluminum trim are in surprisingly good condition. One picture shows a small dent in the front windshield trim, nother pictures shows the dent in the grille. The biggest thing going against this car is that is ugly with surface rust and multi paint colors. If a person were to put this car back to it's correct, riginal condition they would have GREAT value in some parts they would be taking off (bucket seats, speed, intage inline 4 speed shifter). If this car doesn't sell on this listing I will swap those parts out with originals myself and relist it for a greater price. My intent was to restore this Roadrunner, r at least do the metal work before selling it. However, 'm so overwhelmed with customer work that I don't have the time to spend on my own vehicles at this time.

I have NOT tried to start this car. To my knowledge it hasn't been started in many years. The engine rolls over freely, here's antifreeze/coolant in the radiator and the oil looks normal. The car rolls very freely but the master cylinder is seized up and there are no brakes. The steering wheel you see in the pictures is just sitting on the column and does not fit down over the splines.

I ask that you review ALL the pictures in the photo link below BEFORE asking any questions. The pictures should answer any and every possible questions you will have. This car is being sold as is, here is! If you are not experienced with vintage cars, hen this project is not for you. I've given more than enough information in the pictures to allow you to research most anything about this car.

Now for the formalities, his car does not run, his car will need to be towed or hauled from it's current location, he buyer will have to make a $500 non-refundable deposit on this car within 24 hours of auctions end, he balance can be paid in person (no checks) upon pickup, hichneeds to happen within 7 days of auctions end unless otherwise agreed upon before the auction ends. Iwill provide a bill of sale and clear/open title with the car upon pickup.

If this car does not sell on this auction I will take it to a MOPAR show next weekend and sell it. With a VERY REASONABLE starting price and NO RESERVE, he first bid can be the winning bid. Chances of finding another 1968 Roadrunner like this gets slimmer every day. Don't miss what could be your last chance to own one.

Be sure to look at my other auctions, 'm selling some vintage muscle car parts. You should mark me as a favorite seller and follow my auctions because I'm also going to be listing a 1968 GTX and a couple Challengers in the near future, s well as a crazy rare assortment of parts.

As you can see from my feedback, don't play games! I call it like I see it and treat customers like I want to be treated. I don't have the time or patience to deal with time wasters, ire kickersor bidders that don't pay. That being said, f you cannot afford this car don't bid on it! I will not arrange shipping for this vehicle, hat will be the responsibility of the buyer.Since this car does not run or have brakes, he buyer will need to provide a way to get this car up on the transport vehicle. If the buyer happens to be in a path that I travel on a normal basis (between Tennessee & Florida) I would consider delivery for a fee ONLYAFTER the buyer pays for the car in full, n person.

Once again, eview ALL of the pictures in this link http://s229.photobucket.com/user/racemaster33/library/68%20RoadrunnerBEFORE asking questions. I'm sure the answer to your question will be in one of the 140 pictures.

Bid with confidence and bid to win!
