Description of 1971 Plymouth Road Runner

Up for sale is a very rare survivor collector Mopar. It is an original 1971 RoadRunner high Impact FY1 Lemon Twist Yellow, atching numbers 340, lap Stick Automatic, lack Stripe, actory A/C car.
It is 1 of 1245 340 road runners built and the factory high impact FY1 paint only makes it rarer.. And for the folks living in a warmer climate and actually want to enjoy it, t has factory A/C.
Interior condition:The interior is completely original and exceptionally nice aside from someone replacing the factory black carpet with orange.. a 70's thing?? carpet and the front bucket seats will need recovered. The back seat and headliner are in excellent condition. The door panels are also nice. The original radio is in the car and the console, love box, sh tray etc are all mint.
Exterior condition:Its had one repaint. Front core support, rame rails and floor pans are nice, riginal and look to be in excellent untouched condition. The only cancer I can see is a spot in the lower driver rocker (shown) but other than that it only has some minor surface rust showing in a few areas. It is a very solid car. It has a brand new set of BF Goodrich radial tires (P295 rear P225 front) on new aftermarket 15" Ralley wheels.
Drivetrain:The car last ran over 15 years ago but the transmission went out so its been sitting in a garage every since. The 340 turns over freely by hand. The transmission that comes with the car will need to be rebuilt and is not number matching to the car. I have the original torque converter. The rearend is the factory 8-3/4 with Sure-grip 3:91 gears.
I believe that if a person cleaned the fuel tank, arburetor and obviously rebuilt the transmission they would have a nice rare driver. The interior just needs a carpet kit and the front seat skins replaced and it will be very nice. Drive it while you save up to paint it if you want...
