Description of 1969 Plymouth GTX

You are bidding on a 1969 Plymouth GTX. This is NOT a clone. It's a real RS23L9A Lynch Road built. 440-4bbl 2dr HT GTX built in September of '68. Fender tag. dash tag. rad and trunk support all match. I bought this car 4 years ago as a high school project and it's transformed into one awesome street machine. I was Slowly upgrading almost all major systems as it needed help. Car has NO buildsheet. It has a mid 1969 warranty block 440 (no VIN on pad). Mechanical: 440. 727. 8 3/4 with a 3. 91 suregrip and 741 center section. It has green bearings along with Moser 35 spline axles and 3” wheel studs. The 727 has a full manual valve body with a 3500 stall convertor. The 440 has forged steel crank. six pack connecting rods. TRW flat top 9. 5:1 forged pistons. Car has freshened 906 heads with Teflon seals. comp triple valve springs and they are milled . 050! It has Crane adjustable rockers. chrome moly pushrods. retainers. and keepers. The car has new comp lifters. new comp cam with 512 lift and 298 duration. new double roller cloyes timing set. car has a brand new high volume melling oil pump. brand new Milodon deep 7qt oil pan with windage tray. it has a full MSD ignition with billet distributor. 8. 5 super conductor wires. 6A box and tach adapter. It currently has a Torker intake manifold that is ported for nitrous and a Brand new Quickfuel Q750 carb fed by a Holley electric fuel pump that has around 700 miles on it. Under the Carb is a Marvin Miller nitrous plate. it is all plumbed with solenoids and trunk mounted bottle. The system is all wired in. It has a system arming switch which allows power to the RPM window switch. When the switch is on. car is in the RPM window. and the carb is at full throttle. the relay is opened and the solenoids are activated. The arming switch and bottle heater switch are located on a small panel under the under the ignition switch. Also. I installed a Moroso cool can that you fill with ice and the fuel runs through it to keep it from vapor locking. Car has an aluminum water pump set up. aluminum clutch fan. and an aluminum radiator with fan shroud. Car stays super cool!!! It has Heddman 1 7/8" primary and 3" collector headers. full 3" stainless exhaust. Electric cutouts. X pipe. dynomax mufflers and tailpipes up to factory tips. It has brand new fabricated style valve covers. Car runs great and sounds even better!!!!! On all motor the car made 319rwhp and 374rwtq on the Dynojet. The car has Manual steering and manual brakes. The car has a late model master cylinder with front 11" drilled and slotted disk brakes from PST and a 11" drums in back that were redone recently. Car stops on a dime and gives you nine cents change! The car has a brand new Year One/MH wiring dash harness and engine harness. I upgraded the car to the 1970 style charging system with electronic voltage regulator and two field alternator. the car makes 15. 5V at the alternator and 13. 5V at the battery. Interior: Factory the car came with a dark blue interior. It has beautiful seats. headliner with NO wrinkles. door panels and interior trim. It needs blue carpet (black carpet is very nice. just incorrect). the dash pad sags and needs redone. the plastic wood grain on the dash is in decent shape with some cracks but a perfect all original set of dash trim comes with the car. console has the typical cracks. top plates and shifter are very nice!!! Kick panels are in good shape. A pillars are nice but have a few minor cracks. The car has the factory dual thumb wheel style radio in the correct place that isn't hooked up. It has an alpine headed unit with aux. USB. CD in the glovebox along with alpine 4 channel amp under the seat feeding two pioneer 6x9 speakers in the rear package tray and two round 3. 5 kicker speakers mounted in a custom box on the package tray. It has a very nice wood steering wheel with blue cap. it only has one major crack but looks amazing! It has a sun tach mounted on the column. It has standard GTX Gauges with 150mph speedo and no tach in the cluster. Car comes with an extra 150 MPH speedo. Body: Car was originally B5 blue with a VIX black vinyl top. It is now painted a shade darker in B7 blue and has a nice black top. The engine bay and part of the trunk compartment retain the original B5 blue paint. The paint is 15 years old and shows wear with some chips. scratches and minor dents. The car had the passenger side smashed before we owned it. Dented the door. scratched the quarter. and scoffed the quarter all the way to the quarter extension where some paint was scratched off. Could use a nice paint job!! Car has rust in the package tray from the vinyl. there a few little bubbles coming up from under the paint around the wheel on the driver quarter. small spot of rust in the trunk extension from where the trunk mounted battery tray collects water. The car had the wheel lips smashed up to fit bigger tires at one point in its life. The trim is all there and very nice. It's missing the lower body trim on the front passenger fender. The car has a fiberglass six pack hood because the tall intake and carb wouldn't fit under the factory hood. This is a great cruiser! Paint is very presentable and people love this car!!! History: From what I believe the car was originally a west Texas car up until the previous owner we bought it from. brought it to New Mexico 15 years ago! Talked to one owner from 1977. he drag raced the car and sold it in 86. Changed hands a few more times then ended getting restored in the late '90s! I don't know the history pre-1977! The car had 84k miles in 1985 and in 1989 my paper work shows that it had 85k miles. I believe the car to have around 101. 00 original miles on the body. In 2002 the car had 96k miles and now the odometer is in the 103. 00 range. It hasn't been driven very much in the later years of its life. What it needs: Suspension rebuild kit. the old bushings are collapsed and the suspension is soft and the steering is loose! Needs front tires. the bad suspension caused the car to be mis-aligned so it wore out the insides of the front tires. Needs the packages tray rust treated and stopped. Needs an oil pan gasket I believe. When I pulled the motor to freshen it. I guess i didn't seal the oil pan right so it leaks. The car needs the wiper motor and wiper switch rebuilt. they do not work properly. It could also use a gauge rebuild. Extra parts: I have an extra grill. extra tail panel. 2 extra sest of tailights. car comes with 2 sets of door panel emblems( not installed). decent passenger mirror with brand new glass. the original seat covers. original interior plastic. nd extra NOT CRACKED set of dash wood trim. orginal hood hinges and latch assembly. and the original Air Grabber steel hood. I believe the car to be an airgrabber car because it's a low option car but has a 3 speed wiper motor (to clear the air grabber assembly). the hood paint matches the engine bay paint. and it has the red screens in the scoops. I DO NOT have the fiberglass pieces for the air grabber. Just the hood. hinges and latch. The car also comes with a brand new moroso line lock setup. ready to be installed. This a rare. good condition. beautiful Mopar. This car drops jaws wherever it goes! It's a lot of fun to drive and would be a great Cruiser for someone! It's also very close to being a great bracket car for someone to use at the local track! I do not NEED to sell this car. It's my pride and joy. I'm only selling it for the opportunity to buy a '73 Barracuda. We do not ship. we will help load the car with your arranged shipper. we will store it for 30 days after the end of the auction for free. after 30 days its $40 a month. NO refunds. returns.
